What a perfect place to stay, next to the mountains and the sea. We were located at the border of the village. The owner gave us a warm welcome and surprised us with a generous upgrade in the best cottage. Everything we needed was in the cottage! We spend the evening in the fun hottub which was build in a boat.

Accomodation is great: little, charming houses in a middle of an Eastern fjord. Anf the kids just loved the polar fox - a unique memory of their trip to iceland. There is a good restaurant just a few minutes walk away

Amazing location. Stayed in the Guesthouse. We were on the second floor so there were stairs involved. This was fine with us, but something to be aware of. Our room was comfortable and clean. Had a great view to the fjord. The hot tub boat is an added bonus and we really enjoyed soaking in that.

We arrived here during a snowstorm, after the road to where we were originally going to stay got closed. We were warmly greeted by a young man and 2 lovely dogs. He took our payment (2500 ISK each) and told us about the property: a "breakfast room" we could cook and eat in - this was a wee room with a private entrance off of the guesthouse with plenty space and equipment for us to make our dinner on our own camping stove. There was also a shower / toilet block with a sauna and a boat shaped hot tub, next to where they advised us to leave our campervan (only maybe 20m away from the main guesthouse and the breakfast room). The sauna and hot tub were perfect to warm us up, the boat was a nice touch! The chocolate lab even came to say hello to us while we were in the hot tub which was a personal highlight. They have 2 toilets and 2 showers and also a Washing machine you can use free of charge. The following morning we were having problems as our windscreen wipers had broken and the man of the guesthouse very kindly tried to help us but when he realised it was probably the motor had burnt out he recommended a garage for us to go to get it fixed. A lovely guesthouse and lovely family. A wee bit off the main ring road but worth the detour, we loved it! Thank you :)

The room was clean and nice. The hosts were great and the whole experience was more then up to our expectations! The location is so fantastic and the view out to the ocean is great. Nice breakfast. We will come again next year.
