We paid $115 which included breakfast and we thought this was a excellent value. We arrived at 8 pm just in time for dinner and the wife had cod and I had the lamb. We had the vanilla baileys homeade icecream for dessert and it was all excellent. This is a older hotel and the room was larger than most. Very clean and funcational. The staff was very nice. There is a sauna and a hang out room for lack of a better term that was nice. Breakfast was great. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the curtains. As you know Iceland is light 24 hours a day in the summer and I like to sleep in the dark. The curtains close and are blackout but there is about a 8 inch gap at the top which lets a lot of light in.

I won’t be long on this... the building was ok, very characteristic even though I prefer other styles. The position is good to stop during the drive on the ring road. We didn’t find the staff extremely polite and the rooms seem smaller than the average Icelandic room. However, they are quite comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good even though we asked through booking for gluten free alternatives, we didn’t find any and the staff was appearing and disappearing too fast to be able to ask. Overall ok, but surely not our best stay

A huge thanks to Agust and the team at Hotel Blafell. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Apartments and the staff helped us with some luggage we accidentally left behind - going above and beyond to help us out. Thank you and we hope to stay in your little village again someday.

This hotel was very clean but dated and pretty basic with small rooms. One thing of note was the difficulty opening the doors. These were operated with an actual key and it was extremely tricky to get it right. On check in my bedside light was not working. I went down to reception and the receptionist returned to my room with me, established the problem and immediately changed the 'dead' lightbulb. That was excellent service.

We a family of 8 persons stayed one night in that hotel.. the hotel is a two stories wooden building, the rooms are paved with pine wood plates. Nice public areas. the rooms were comfortable and the beds good. and bathrooms alright A good breakfast buffet was included. Since it is a little village we had also dinner in the hotel, it was good, but little expensive
