Fantastic stay, family run business. Friendly staff, great rooms. Great location with amazing scenery. Lots of information about local tourist destinations and a helpful booklet in the room to help you plan your trip.
This is a family owned hotel with amazing service. Incredible hospitality, super comfortable, clean room. The hotel is very good located at the border of the peninsula of Snæfellsnes. Breakfast was the standard Icelandic breakfast. Definitely a nice stop.
The hotel is cozy, very good located and the treatment was excellent! It is the perfect place to stay in Iceland for a few days, enjoying the sublime coffee they have, and the Icelandic food that they offer. It is at the border of the peninsula of Snæfellsnes, so it is the perfect place to stay and visit the surroundings. Also, it is on the way of Reykjavik and the South of the island, so it is a good option if you are travelling around the country. At the same time, the hotel, restaurant and the cafeteria have stylish details. I felt there in a very good atmosphere, thanks to the owner (a very sweet Icelandic family) and the workers. High recommended.
What a lovely family owned place. Everyone is so nice and kind, they literally read the wishes from your lips. The rooms are nice and quite and the food was amazing. The chef is here for 3 year in the mid of nowhere and he is doing so good! Breakfast was nice and delicious as well. We will come back :)
It would be easy if you were one of the few accommodation options, to have an uncaring attitude and not be concerned about the guest experience. However, that is not the case with the Hotel Rjukandi. From the outside, the hotel looks more like a pedestrian motel, but looks are deceiving. The rooms are very clean with modern amenities and quite comfortable. We were there in a HOWLING storm that literally made it hard to stand or walk outside, but our room was very comfortable and provided an oasis from the storm. The staff was extremely pleasant and warm, particularly the young lady who greeted us and attended to our getting settled. The hotel/restaurant is family run and you can see the pride and care present in nearly every aspect. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious and well-prepared with attentive and pleasant service. We would highly recommend this hotel and/or restaurant on a trip through the Snaefellsnes.…
