Good beach club. Good for cycling with decent roads for roadies. Flat water for waterski, kayak and sup, although little wind for sailing and certainly not a first choice neilson resort if this is your primary sport. Nice little town within a walk up and down the hill where there are a range of restaurants and bars. We took a trip from the town to Paxos and anti Paxos when the neilson similar trip was cancelled - a good day out at 35 euro each. Pool and area relatively small - 18m pool. Great bike support who came and rescued us when I had mechanicals and bought out new bike promptly whilst we sat in a bar! Tips - beach shoes to get across the water to the beach (lots of sharp pebbles) and as the brochure states lots of steps in the resort.

This was our 14th visit to this resort and the view still takes my breath away. The rooms are small but very clean and the beds comfy. The food is good with lots of salad choices at lunch time and the staff are friendly and create a nice atmosphere around the resort. The range of activities are good but if you want to just relax then you can do. We tried the cocktail masterclass this year and it was great fun and great value - thanks to George and Spiros for a fun filled night. The village of Sivota can be easily reached down a steep hill or by water taxi on non inclusive nights and it's a great place to watch the sunsets from the harbour.

This was the first time I've been on a Neilson Holiday (or any similar type of holiday). I was a bit apprehensive as I am a single parent with a 15 year old who is pretty shy. I was worried we'd either be forced to join in with stuff we didn't want to do or I would be treated like some sort of pariah being a single female on my own. Neither were the case . I persuaded my son to go the ice breaker on the Monday morning with Waveriders and said if he didn't like it he didn't have to go back. He obviously did enjoy it (despite initially not being overly keen on water) because he went back to every session and did everything from kayaking and water polo to a head massage and face mask in the spa! The hotel is really clean and the location is absolutely stunning. Yes the steps are a bit of a trial especially in the heat but I just made sure I had everything I needed from my room for the day before leaving the room. Everyone was really friendly. I did some kayaking, yoga and pilates. The Paxos boat trip was worth every penny even though my son didn't want to come with me and preferred to go on kayaking trip with his group. Loved the food. Lots of salads, all very fresh and my son enjoyed the cooked food. We didn't have any problems having to queue in the restaurant but then we never went at the beginning of service and usually waited until half an hour in. The village of Sivota was lovely with lots of restaurants and not a McDonalds or a KFC in sight. We had a lovely meal at Parasol on the harbour front. Three courses with drinks for 30 Euro for the two of us so not expensive. I can't recommend this highly enough and wish I discovered this years ago when my sons were younger. It appears v expensive at first but there's very little extra you need to pay for once you're there; drinks and meals on the three non inclusive nights are really your only other mandatory expenses. Worth every penny. The one piece of advice I would give is buy water shoes rather than relying on flip flops. The beaches are pretty coarse and both my son and I managed to get a small cuts on our feet I presume from the coarse sand or broken shells.

The resort, set into the hillside , provides the most fabulous views across the bay. We visited as a single parent family with two teenage kids (16+13). We enjoyed all the classic Neilson features- the sports, the kids clubs, the buffet restaurant, the entertainment. The staff were as always, passionate, enthusiastic and genuinely happy. The staff are that magic ingredient that makes a Neilson holiday different from any other holiday and what keeps us coming back to Neilson. The kids were in TAG and Surf Squad and both spent almost all their time with their friends. As a single parent, I was never short of company and other guest to chat to. Everyone was so friendly. We took the premium waterski both weeks and was well worth the cost. The water is flat and ideal for it. We of course have to make some special mentions : Sophie and Prinal, the fabulous fitness ladies for the brilliant classes. Eddie the TAG legend. Katarina, the delightful restaurant hostess. And finally Freddy - his really clear explanations enabled us all to progress in our waterskiing. Thank you. We will definitely return.
