Hotel Albatros is located very conveniently between the Sivota harbour (where shops and restaurants are located) and two beaches. Hence it's very easy to reach both from the hotel by foot. Pool is not huge, but that doesn't matter as Zavia beach is 5 min walk away. Rooms - especially in the new part of the hotel - are beautiful, clean and stylishly decorated. Much higher standard than in usual three star hotel. Beds are excellent! And so is also the breakfast (very good quality). The staff is very attentive doing their best to meet any special requests. We had a lovely holiday in Albatros! Thank you.
Lovely hotel, 10 to 15 minute walk down to the harbour. The bedrooms were of a reasonable size, free safe, small fridge, plenty of wardrobe space, very comfortable bed, walk in shower in the bathroom. Plenty of hot water at all times of the day. All tastefully decorated. The buffet breakfast was excellent, you would not go hungry and the staff in the dining room work very hard replenishing and keeping the tables clear. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated and kept to a very high standard. The pool was amazing, very. very clean, water was pleasantly warm and plenty of sunbeds should you want to sit by the pool, again this outside space was immaculately clean. A great place to stay.
A clean, newly renovated hotel with nice rooms with a balcony and a nice pool area. The whole facility is in good shape and well situated 10 min walk from Sivota village and 5 minutes walk from a small cosy beach. The service is ok from most of the staff but not overwhelming, more neutrally professional. But the most annoying thing about the hotel is the approach and attitude from the owners. Not a smile, not a ”Good day” or ” How are you” to us as guests. Standing at the bar one day waiting for the bartender one of the owners just went past us into the bar without even noticing or looking at us. Not ok. A crash course in service management would be needed. Did not feel welcome by them.
We returned once again to this lovely hotel. As on previous visits, staff were very friendly and helpful, The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food. The hotel throughout and the individual rooms and dining areas, were spotlessly clean. Excellent management of Covid rules too, including the supply of disposable gloves to use at the buffet breakfast. A lovely quiet location and ideal for local exploration.
We were very happy with this hotel. It is very clean and tastefully decorated and has obviously been refurbished recently. The staff are all really pleasant and it has a real family feel. The breakfasts are great with a good choice of cooked meat and eggs plus the usual fruits and delicious savoury and sweet Greek pastries. ....and good coffee an teas, juices. They offer pool snacks all day. The pool is beautiful and there are plenty of sun beds though it was rarely busy in the current situation. We swam daily and found the local beaches ideal ... Zavia is 10 minutes and perfect for swimming and access . There is a slight incline but I managed it easily with a newish replacement knee. there is a local restaurant, the Xechoristo with delicious locally grown veg and roasts. The harbour with many restaurants is in the harbour area which was a 20 minute stroll past lots of litle shops and supermarkets. We will be back…
Great little hotel in a prime location to explore beautiful Sivota its beaches and multiple restaurants which are a short walk away. Clean with great staff I cant fault the hotel and enjoyed my stay, thanks.
The Hotel was lovely very clean and the staff are really friendly only thing was we where put in a very dark room at first but we asked to be changed and they did the following day We seemed to be the only British in the hotel among a lot of Swedish people
Really surprised this is only a 3 star hotel felt more like a 4 or 5 star. The family that run the hotel were very welcoming and helpfull we really enjoyed our stay here. We visited in September 2018, the room we had was a bit small for 3 people but we did not spend much time in the room so were not bothered by this.
When we first arrived the location didn’t seem great however once we had a wander about the town, harbour and the nearby beaches it turns out it’s ideal. The hotel itself is outstanding. The cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in while in Greece, double bed which is in itself a novelty and a great shower room. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive while not imposing on you and the pool and bar area are great. A visit to the Bamboo bar at the harbour is a must for a cheeky Mythos or two and there are plenty of good tavernas with quality food. (Mediteranos, Ostria, Blue Coast) Overall we had a really great time, met some lovely people and would recommend this hotel to anyone
The hotel is cosy, not too big, very clean and I suppose fairly recently renovated. The room had all that was needed, safe, storage space, aircondition (for additional fee but that's fine), quite big mini-fridge, bed was big and comfortable (not soft kind). The room was nicely cleaned every day, and at the time when I wasn't there, which I appreciated. I had a room on the second floor with east view and a big terasse, which was great. Only one night a couple of mosquitos sneaked in, but all other days there were none. If mosquitos and other insects are a concern, don't chose room with the garden view on the ground/basement floor. Sound isolation is quite good between the rooms and floors, apart from the door itself, so I could hear some noisy neighbours passing by. Breakfast was quite limited, so one needs to be prepared for that. Location is perfect for those who like quiet surroundings and to walk, and it's at about the same distance to most of Syvota's beaches (about 20 min). One thing that was somewhat annoying was that reception was occupied only at certain times of the day, and not at all during the night. All in all I would recommend this hotell especially for those who are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay.…
