The resort is of Outstanding Quality as to the facilities, design, location, staff attentiveness and care to the guest needs. I asked for a surprise for my partner's birthday, everything was done in an excellent way in a private kiosk with delicious food, decorated with romance! The service was impeccable and consistent with every person we encountered. Five stars in all categories! Castello …it’s now our new annual destination. A big thank to every one!!!

Quite simply the most perfect hotel in the most perfect location. Nothing is too much trouble at Castello, the reception staff, the restaurant staff and the manager are friendly, polite and professional. When we originally booked the hotel was adult only, it is now family however I feel it would best suit families with children over the age of 10 as younger ones may become restless, Castello is definitely a relaxed vibe. Sissi itself has a beautiful bay, a perfect place to sit and enjoy a coffee whilst taking in the remarkable scenery. It has a great range of authentic Greek tavernas mixed in between shops. We chose bed and breakfast which gave us the opportunity to experience both and the food at Castello is exquisite. The best holiday experience in years all thanks to Castello Boutique Hotel and it’s beautiful setting. We shall be back, again and again and again. Thank you Jennie

What can I say. We finally took our originally planned 2020 trip to Castello Boutique to celebrate my sisters birthday. On arrival I was told I was upgraded and was really grateful. Both of my rooms were amazing! Clean, very spacious and very comfortable. My sisters were also fortunate enough to be upgraded too, their room was stunning with their own private pool. The food in the hotel was delicious. We stayed as bed and breakfast. There was plenty of choices to choose, from yoghurts and fresh fruits to cooked breakfasts and pancakes. A variety of breads and cold meats and cheeses. Although the food was lovely we did find that sometimes as it was getting towards the end of breakfast the food was not being replenished as quick and we had to ask. But that said, it was always remedied. I also had an evening meal in the hotel. You are given a menu that comprises of soup, dips, starters, mains and desserts. They only ask you what you want for main and the rest of the menu just comes anyway! Really flavoursome food, waiter service and lots of it! The staff throughout the whole hotel go above and beyond, especially the reception staff who are always so helpful. Always there with a smile on their faces. I for one will definitely be back. Sissi is a beautiful place and this hotel definitely compliments the relaxed chilled surroundings. Thank you all for making our ‘sisters’ break one to remember ❤️

This hotel was amazing, very clean, modern and well laid out. The room was also amazing. Very luxurious. The staff were perfect. From reception to house keeping to restaurant staff. Mario the chef was very good, attention to detail was amazing. However, if I write the review from my perspective its a 5 out 5. Unfortunately my wife and daughter both have food allergies, and whilst they tried to accommodate this, their meals were very simple... compared to the standard offered. This was no fault of the chef, I feel that the pressure of running a great kitchen and having to make a special meals was just a little too much. It seams that crete may not be fully geared up for people with allergies. We feel that, sadly, 2 out of our party missed out on an exceptional holiday. We would return, but maybe have a meal plan written before we visited, or maybe chose bed and breakfast.

My partner and I arranged a last minute trip to Crete and this hotel was all and more. The staff go above and beyond to meet requirements. I have stayed in many a fancy hotel, but when staff know your name and mange your wants and needs; that makes it for me. They welcomed us and made us feel nothing was too much effort. I must say, Jessica was/is amazing and a credit to the business, but that’s not to say all staff members were not amazing. The facilities were great , our stay fantastic and I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Well done Castello staff. Thank you from Julia and Michael x

We enjoyed a pleasant 10 days here in June. One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was the excellent location, so close to the harbour and lots of lovely restaurants. For this reason we chose B & B only. The breakfast offer was fine but sadly no egg chef so could be improved. Also I was surprised that orange was the only juice on offer and this was served rather than being freely available on the buffet. We stayed in a superior room (415 ) which was in an excellent location. Our balcony was very private looking out on the church and to the right a view of the mountains and to the left the pool, gardens and a distant sea view.Perfect! The room was spacious with a sofa, fridge and kettle. The bathroom had a bath and a decent walk in shower. The towels were changed daily but replenishment of tea etc was a bit hit and miss. There is a supermarket next door handy for water etc. The pool is lovely and I often had it to myself. The sun beds are mainly set out on the large grassed area which is so much nicer than sitting on a concrete area. Towards the end of our stay it became more difficult to find a bed so I would suggest a few more are needed. This would not be a problem as there is plenty of space on the grassed area not currently being used. I also think padded beds are needed! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The evening entertainment wasn’t to our taste apart from the ‘Drifters’ group who were very good. So maybe not 5 star but still a lovely hotel which we would use again.

We visited the Castello Boutique hotel in early June and had a lovely holiday. The employees are working very hard, but it appears to be running with a skeleton staff, and there is very little sign of management, who appeared only rarely. This may change later in the season, and I certainly hope so as they are run off their feet! A huge thankyou to Andreas in the restaurant (and occasionally the bar!) who is friendly and professional, and Jessica on Reception who couldn't do enough for us and recommended some excellent local restaurants - they are both a credit to the hotel. Eleni in Reservations was very helpful and professional, and it was a pleasure to meet her at last having been in touch with her by by e-mail for over 2 years! We had no issues with sun beds, but there didn't seem to be enough of them and they were crammed into a small space when there was ample extra space available on the lawn. This led to the inevitable problem of people reserving them early in the morning. Although TV is not important to us when we're on holiday, it did seem very strange that, given the large percentage of UK guests, there wasn't one single British TV channel, although several options in German, and other European languages. Our room was large with a good bathroom and a huge and extremely comfortable bed, and the food in the restaurant was excellent, with an interesting and affordable wine list. Sadly, as this hotel is no longer adults only, we will probably not re-visit, but we did enjoy our stay and cannot praise the staff highly enough.

Castillo Boutique Spa Absolutely excellent treatments at this spa. My husband and I had a couple of treatments each with fantastic results where we left feeling nurtured and relaxed. Georgia is very welcoming and warm and takes time to find the right treatment for you. My therapist was Elena both times and she was extremely professional, skilled and respectful and this was balanced with a warm caring approach. I fell asleep during both treatments due to the quality of the massages. I didn’t want the treatments to end. Thank you very much Castillo Spa. Highly recommend this wonderful place.

Currently staying at this great hotel. Still a few more days to go but have to give a special mention to the staff at the spa. Very, very friendly with a great range of treatments. Would highly recommend the Cretan massage. Never had one before but probably the best massage I've ever had. Special thank you to therapist Kallia, who gave me my first ever, and hopefully not last, Cretan massage. Thank you Kallia!
