This was a pleasant surprise. The grappler 2 bedroom cabin was perfect for our family of 5 and was situated right next to the pool and across from the pond. The kids loved feeding the fish and turtles and playing on the playground which we could see from our back patio while getting the fire ready for cooking hotdogs and roasting marshmallows. The only downfall that we noticed was that the pool could have used some care; less chemicals, more cleaning, etc. That is definitely not something that would deter us from staying again. It is also a plus that there is NOT a 2 night minimum stay because we usually only go for 1 night. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Whether you have a small group or a large group like ours, this is the perfect place for a family get together. We had over 30 family members in our group. It is always hard to find a place where each family can have some privacy and yet be close together for meals and activities. We rented 5 of their 2 bedroom/2 bath cabins that were all right by each other so the adults and kids could easily go from 1 to the other but each family had our own bedrooms and baths for the nights. (This was especially nice in this Covid environment). The cabins were spacious, modern and very clean. They all had a large swing on the porch. Each cabin was equipped with everything you needed to prepare your food both in the kitchen or over the firepit or on the grill. For our group, we used the large shelter area for our lunch/evening meals and each family had breakfast in their own cabins. There was a pool, large playground and game room next to our cabins that the kids could enjoy while the adults visited and supervised. There was a place for volleyball and cornhole. We were able to borrow equipment for them from the resort. Everyone enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles in the 2 lakes. Each cabin was given a free bucket of food when we checked in! Several people from our group also did some fishing in the lakes. The resort management was SO friendly, and accommodated every request we had. One of the owners stopped by on his golf cart several times during the weekend to see if we needed anything. Adults and kids alike had such a great time and we are already planning to go back next year. The resort is right next to Lincoln State Park if you like to hike or explore some of the Abraham Lincoln history in the area. It is also right next door to Holiday World if some of your group wants to go there for the day.

We had a wonderful time at Lincoln Pins Cabins. We arrived really late and the cabin was left with porch light on and key inside, they also called to verify we were still coming. Once we arrived everything was clean and easy for us to gets in bed and settled. Holiday World was only 3 miles away or 6 minute drive away. Gas stations, grocery store all within 3 miles for any items forgotten, but welcome center at resort was also well stocked. My kids really enjoyed the lake and pond with feeding fish and fishing!!! Each cabin has a back porch swing, which is nice for the evenings and morning. While in the area we visited Holiday World and Santa’s Stables, which was a huge hit if you like horses! And a great German Restaurant only 30 minutes away in Jasper schnitzelbank. Will definitely come back soon!!!

We couldn't ask for a more peaceful place to spend a weekend, and in fact, it was so great, we returned to stay for several days!! The cabin we had was decorated, clean, functional and had a fully stocked kitchen....complete with utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, dishes, cups, bowls, etc The catch and release fishing was right up my husbands alley....about 20 steps out the patio doors. The way the property is situated, every cabin has a private patio with a swing and table/chairs for eating. What made our stay (s) perfect was the very down-to-earth and friendly owners/staff. VERY helpful!!!Love, love, .love this wonderful place!!

Booked a cabin last minute for a few days getaway. Loved everything about it. The cabin was very spacious and super clean. They staff takes excellent care of the grounds and there’s a lot to do. The owners are very fair about prices in the little shop and you can tell they take great pride in this property. We stayed near the pond and the fish and turtles swim up to the edge when you go out to feed them. The pool and laundry facilities are very well maintained. Lots to do in the area. We did Holiday World, Santa’s Stables and the state parks. Would definitely recommend!

We spent 5 days at Lincoln Pines. The cabins are perfectly pretty and clean and well thought out. We stayed in a cabin designed for 10 (had 7 guests stay). There were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a full kitchen, dining area and living area that was furnished with a chair, and 2 futons (which were wonderfully and surprisingly comfortable,) The back porch included a swing and table with chairs, too. The only thing I sort of wished for was a dishwasher. Also, the kitchen counter extends with a bar with stools for extra seating. Upon arrival we were given a little bucket of fish food for our kids to feed the fish in the pond. There is a nice pool and splash pad area, with several playground areas, too. You can rent fishing poles. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We recently stayed here one night on a last minute trip to Holiday World. We were pleasantly surprised and plan to return. Check in was easy, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed (we paid for linen package to have towels and sheets, but it also had plates, cups, shampoo, soap etc). There were some cobwebs in the corners when the sun was shining in bright through the patio door, but that's how my house is is too so no worries from me. Seemed much cleaner than a hotel room for sure. My young daughters absolutely loved the murphy bed and thought it was so cool to sleep in the living room/kitchen. They also got a complimentary bucket of fish food for the fish in the pond out behind our cabin which was one of their favorite parts. The playground was nice too. I wish we would've had more time in the cabin so I think we'll definitely do two nights next time.

We stayed at the Lincoln Pines Lakefront Resort on September 24-26, 2021. It is set in a beautiful area, very close to Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial park, as well as a short drive to Santa Claus, IN, the home of Holiday World and all things Christmas! The "cabin" had the amenities listed, and felt very spacious for a couple. Our cabin was #24 "Thanksgiving" and had a wall plaque displaying the history of President Lincoln initiating a national observance of Thanksgiving and pardoning the first turkey at the White House! A family of 2-6 would be very comfortable, in my opinion. No dishwasher, but all other kitchen appliances are full size and modern. Plates, utensils, etc. are already in place. The nice covered patios made listening to a morning shower so relaxing, while swinging under cover. There is a lot of history in these hills, and this place is the best place we have found to enjoy it all!

My husband and I visited along with our grandchildren who are 14, 11 and 4 for a few days during their Fall Break. We visited Holiday World on the weekend but spent all of the time we were not at the park either fishing, feeding the fish, playing on the playground or around the fire pit. The kids are so accustomed to being on electronics this was a nice change and we had a lot of quality time together spending outdoors. Our 14 year old said it was "a really good trip". The resort is very close to the park (less than 5 miles) and the place is well kept and clean. There is a small game room there and a washer and dryer you can use for a nominal fee. We also rented fishing poles while we were there so we didn't have to bring all of that with us. The cabin was well equipped for what we needed to cook. We did buy the linen package so our beds were made and ready when we go there. They sale a variety of items in the small store if you need anything. There are not many places to eat that are close by but we didn't plan to do much eating out so it was fine. There is a pool and splash pad that are open during the summer months. We did just fine without it. If you are considering going, DO IT! This may be our new favorite place to visit for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

The grills are charcoal. They sell everything onsite and will even deliver it to your cabin.
In Santa Clause Indiana there is a grocery. It's just a few miles down the road. Next to the cabins is a local pizza and sandwich place. Heading towards Santa Clause, the gas station on the right has food. Frosty's in Santa Clause has good food.
