Our second time staying here. Loved it. I love the cottages so much I want one for myself. I highly recommend Lincoln Pines Lakefront Resort. They give very booking some fish food to feed the fish. I very much enjoy feeding the fish. Somtimes the turtles will join in!
We wanted to hit some of the state parks in southern Indiana, this place was great to come "home" to every night. Close enough to go to New Harmony and O'bannon Woods state parks. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We had no regrets picking this place to stay. We even plan to go back with the grandkids. We were there off season, so it was very quiet and peaceful. The pond was lovely and we even fed the fish and turtles. I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay.
We are so looking forward to coming g back when it is a little warmer. It is absolutely beautiful 😍. We stayed in Honest Abe as we were finishing up learning all about President Lincoln. Our grandson had so much fun. Thank you so much for a great stay.
We always go on a mini vacation between Christmas and New Year, and this year we thought it would be fun to be close to Santa Claus Indiana. We found this cabin through a 'stay and play' promo and saw it had great reviews. Late December is a quiet time to visit. We were still close to Christmas attractions, we were right on the water so we had a relaxing view, and we were still able to visit the historic cabin on site as they had it open to exploration. I wish they had dishwashers in the cabins for sanitary reasons, but washing dishes by hand is not a deal breaker. Our cabin was comfortable and clean and we appreciated two full bathrooms for our family. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars for service was because it was apparently off-season so the main office was mostly closed. They did promptly arrive when we called to check in, so I assume if we would have needed anything, they would have taken care of it.…
The resort was in a quiet location for the time we were there. I like that! There is a high school next to the property so I am assuming it could get a little loud with a football game. The entire area is new construction. Beautiful, cared for, and maintained. Only one draw back for me - between the two bedrooms was a bathroom which consisted of two rooms. The first room contained the sink and a place to hang items (we used it to hang our coats). The second room the toilet and shower. The issue is there is no door between the living area and the sink area. Needs to be a pocket door. Other than that everything was fine, beautiful, and peaceful!
The cottages are adorable. Very comfortable and clean. It is a good place to get way from day to day stress and unwind. The hosts is very accommodating. I enjoyed feeding the fish with the complementary fish food. I most definitely recommend starting there. I know I will be back.
Really enjoyed time with friends and wedding couple at Lincoln Pines. Great cabin and beautiful site. Hope to visit again sometime. Super staff that were very helpful and friendly during our stay. Thanks for everything.
We needed 4-6 cabins for our family reunion. We found Lincoln Pines The cabins are beautiful. Everyone kept remarking how nice and well kept the cabins and the grounds were. We enjoyed fishing, the kids played on the playground and were in the game room often. We were close to the Lincoln state park which is gorgeous. We were even able to have a corn hole tournament. Everyone there was very accommodating to us. A truly wonderful 3 day visit. My only recommendation would be to allow more than one car per cabin Strongly recommend going here especially if you have a large group. Call early. They book quickly
My family and I chose the Duplex Cabin 4 and 5 by the playground. We have 3 kids ages 8 and 9 and they can go all day and night even after a day at Holiday World. This was a great choice. They met and played with many kids who were there to visit also. Our cabins were beautiful and the mattresses in the bedroom were so comfy we didn’t want to get up. Need information on those. We honestly didn’t do much cooking as in walking distance there is a restaurant that serves a variety of items. Hoosier Diner could be Hoosier Pizza. I don’t know but it’s family run and honestly the best pizza and burgers ever. We placed order they are busy so place an hour before you want to eat. We walked over with our flashlights. Great people. We visited in October we went to the Marengo Caves , Lincoln’s Boyhood Home and take all the paths it’s so beautiful and informative. Then we did Holiday World our first time there and it was crowded. But enjoyable nonetheless. Going to come back and try the water park in the Summer. We brought easy breakfast so we only used the toaster and coffee makers. But the kitchen looked equipped with the basic. Bring garbage bags, order wood in advance it’s cheaper, the game room looked fun but we didn’t use it, and we got a hayride the owner had to run two as it was a hit. Beautiful facilities we walked around the pond and sat in the chairs watched people fishing and having fun. Bring a football, volleyball or kickball plenty of room. We got the sheets and towels who wants to haul that and it was nice. It was a great visit and we will be back. We aged from 70 to 8 family of 7 total and we just had a blast. Great town everyone is so friendly! If I had a suggestion it would be to take down those pine trees that will grow huge in front of duplex it blocks the view of the playground and if you have little kids you can’t see them. Only reason to stay in duplex 4 and 5 is to stay close to the playground so the kids can enjoy themselves and the parents! Lol. Our kids had flashlights and played on it until 10 at night when we made them go to bed. Also the big pines block the lake and you never want that. It’s private anyway you don’t ever want to block a view. I live on a lake and everyone always enjoys looking at the water. Thanks for a great visit! If your thinking of coming to town this is the place. You will enjoy it!…
We stayed at the Lincoln Pines Lakefront Resort on September 24-26, 2021. It is set in a beautiful area, very close to Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial park, as well as a short drive to Santa Claus, IN, the home of Holiday World and all things Christmas! The "cabin" had the amenities listed, and felt very spacious for a couple. Our cabin was #24 "Thanksgiving" and had a wall plaque displaying the history of President Lincoln initiating a national observance of Thanksgiving and pardoning the first turkey at the White House! A family of 2-6 would be very comfortable, in my opinion. No dishwasher, but all other kitchen appliances are full size and modern. Plates, utensils, etc. are already in place. The nice covered patios made listening to a morning shower so relaxing, while swinging under cover. There is a lot of history in these hills, and this place is the best place we have found to enjoy it all!…
