PROS: Beautiful Art Deco Features. The bed was comfortable. Excellent "Looking Glass" and "white Rabbit" Speak-easy adjacent to Lobby. CONS: The shower provided only a trickle; no luggage caddy in the room, no Internet plug-in jack available. No milk for coffee in lobby coffee area. SERVICE: The hotel computer systems checked me out two days early: locking me out of the room. Daytime front desk counter worker was a real sour puss., her brand of customer service made choosing to leave the Hotel easy, feeling bitter and disappointed. Bellman and Night Front Desk staff were pleasant and welcoming.

This is a decent hotel downtown, especially in the price range. The pictures online are accurate but the descriptions of the 3 middle categories of the rooms are not. The executive king, premier king and king parlor are all really the same grouping and you can end up with any of them if you book one. I booked the king parlor based off of the written descriptions online and ended up in the executive. The Good: *I had requested an early check-in. The hotel called me around 11am to inform me that my room was ready whenever I was. That was a nice touch. *The hotel is a short walk from the Old Market and the Gene Leahy mall so I did not need a car. *The bed was very comfortable with good pillows. (Although the bed may be a little soft for those with bad backs.) *The room came with yoga mats and exercise balls, which was nice. *The shower was big with a bench in it. The Bad *Employees did not really seem to care for the most part. But this is not a 5 star hotel so I was not expecting 5 star service. If you are aware of that and do not need to be pampered by staff, this is a good hotel for you. *Although the website does say room service is available, it is not. (However, they do provide a free continental breakfast instead. I did not eat breakfast so I have no idea how good it is.) *The lobby area is very dark and it does not feel welcoming. The rest of the hotel is much nicer. *The windows do not keep out traffic noise so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleep and you will be fine.

Like nothing that I have stayed at in Omaha. Simply Beautiful. The new design concept is sleek. The artwork around the property is compelling and something to see. Stayed for business, but will be back for a show at the Orpheum Theater next door. Had dinner at the Monarch restaurant, what an amazing flavor treat, chef is incredible. Top tier hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Deco. The location is perfect for anyone who is going to the Orpheum for a show. The hotel itself and the room is beautiful. It has clearly been nicely renovated. The robes were a very nice touch and definitely added to the luxury hotel feeling. There were a few downfalls: + I have a Nespresso at home that I love, but the coffee from this one was terrible. + If you are a light sleeper, you will need to sleep on a higher floor. We were on the 4th floor and could hear all the street noises. + My biggest complaint would be that we had no hot water in the shower. It is a fancy panel system, so first we thought we must just not know how to use it. We looked up a YouTube tutorial, and it was clear something was wrong with the shower. It was only producing ice cold water. We were leaving the morning we discovered this, but I called the front desk to let them know. I was disappointed that instead of an apology, they just said “thanks for letting us know; we will have maintenance look at it.” Not having a working shower in a hotel room is a pretty large inconvenience. I’m not expecting mountains to be moved, but I would have appreciated a more concerned response.

We stayed at the Hotel Deco on our way from Denver to Minneapolis. We had never stayed in Omaha and thought the hotel sounded interesting. It did not disappoint. We stayed on the 9th floor and it was very quiet. Our room was newly renovated with a tasteful modern feel, very comfy bed, and very updated bathroom. The operation of the spa shower was not intuitive but we eventually figured it out. Staff told us that directions were coming for the shower and the coffee maker (about the best hotel room coffee I'd ever had!) We had breakfast (not included) in the restaurant on the premises, which was also newly renovated. The breakfast was excellent. Valet parking is available for an additional cost but we parked at the meters right outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great value and recommend highly!

This hotel is amazing. We’ve been on a cross-country road trip and this hotel has been the best that we’ve stayed at in the US so far. The decor is fantastic and yet super comfortable. It doesn’t have that stale hotel feel, it literally feels like you’re staying in a cute apartment. We almost didn’t want to leave and explore Omaha because it was so cozy. Speaking of comfort, this might be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The windows open up so you can get a nice breeze too. The staff is super nice and very accommodating. This hotel is SUPER clean too. It’s walkable to some really cute areas too. A historic district loaded with restaurants, wine bars and cigar shops, little Italy and the up and coming hip area of Little Bohemia are within a mile. I’m definitely coming back here. There’s a speakeasy next door too if you can figure out the password. Fantastic drinks!

My wife and I returned back to the Hotel Deco after a couple years. They just reopened a few weeks ago after covid and flooding. We made our reservations online with their system and it takes the reservation fine but didn't send any confirmation and when we called to make sure the reservation was good - we just went to voice mail. So just to make sure we had a room we booked again and again no confirmation. Called and spoke to a person this time and asked to make sure we canceled the one room and confirmed the other. Did receive the confirmation this time. Got to the hotel and the room was wonderful. Recently remodeled and fresh and classy. But needed some tweaks. The biggest is the shower again beautiful and new with multiple heads but lacks sufficient pressure to be spa like. Possibly due to being on the 10th floor??? Biggest concern is the shower surface - it is law suit waiting to be served. There are no non-skid surfaces or side hand bars to steady you and I smacked my shoulder into the wall and is still sore after three days. The shower gels are in non squizable containers and it is a real effort to get any of the gel out of the bottle. Again having a slippery floor surface didn't help. The in-room coffee maker is fabulous - but... There are no directions on how to use it and it took a bit to figure that out There are no do-not disturb signs for the doors and house keeping came knocking before we checked out. I passed the info on to the gal at the front desk so I hope they take my comments to heart and act upon them. I was a bit surprised their wasn't more response on my shower comments - because it certainly could have been a trip to the hospital incident. We love the property, location and speak-easy next door and plan to return in October for a broadway production at the theater across the street for a update on the property. I'll let you all know.

What a lovely find! Price point was great too! We spontaneously found ourselves in Omaha on a busy weekend. Most downtown hotels were sold out…then rooms opened up at Hotel Deco. It literally seemed too good to be true. I was slightly worried until we checked in. Upon checkin I was greatly by a lovely lady, friendly and efficient. There was style, classy Art Deco with a little funk. Our room was spotless and stylish. After getting situated we enjoyed a drink and snack in the hotel bar. Comfortable and classy style met great food and drinks. Downtown Omaha never disappoints. We stumbled upon the Wicked Rabbit speakeasy next door by accident. Be sure to wander next door to check it out! Every moment spent at Hotel Deco was a pleasure!

My husband and I were astounded by the hospitality we received from the hotel deco team. Our event was perfectly executed and we couldn’t have been happier with the quality of service and food. Definitely recommend doing a private event or other at this location!

This hotel is in a great location and beautiful building that could be an amazing hotel if the owner/management wanted to make it great. It is very apparent to me though that the owner is more interested in saving money than running an actual four star hotel. The room felt bare and the amenities were very few. The shower leaked, the wallpaper was peeling to name a few of the annoying things. I went downstairs to get coffee but they didn't have any out. Overall, this hotel just feels like a fraud. I would never stay here again.
