I stayed here for a single day for work. It’s your typical HGI set-up except the restaurant was closed for COVID. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Nice downtown location that is walkable to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants plus the river front trail. Everything was clean but it’s getting time for a decorating update. Friendly staff.
The room was clean, cool and comfortable. Provided a breakfast bag with bagel and apple that was nice. Surprised to be charged for parking-should be complimentary to Diamond in lie of full breakfast? Walking distance to many restaurants
Always my go to hotel in Omaha! Very comfy beds and pretty quiet, although I request not to have a room overlooking Dodge St or 10th...the staff are very friendly and helpful. Their breakfasts are good, and being so close to the Old Market, there’s great dining steps away.
I didn’t expect a lot here, We just needed a clean place to sleep en route to Colorado. We chose Hilton because at least on a corporate level they claim to take Covid19 seriously. We knew that the customers in Nebraska would likely not give a crap, but hoped at least the hotel staff would. You shouldn’t expect that. We called ahead to make sure that the front desk staff wears masks and observes social distancing since the app required us to stop at the front desk before we could use the digital key for some reason. The woman at the front desk assured me the staff wears their masks and was even amused that I double checked that they wear them on their face, not just have them around and never use them. She was all “yes of course we wear them.” But of course when we arrived the front desk woman, who was the same person I spoke to on the phone (I recognized her voice) had her mask around her neck instead of her face and proceeded to interact with us maskless, and gloveless. There was a plastic shield there so that’s helpful, except it was not on the side of the front desk where during our check in process another guest stopped to ask her for towels and shampoo and they exchanged pleasantries and towels about 1 foot away from each other and from us. Maybe in Nebraska people breathe and talk through an entirely different part of the body than in the rest of the country... It was also really loud but I really don’t care much about that. I just care that I don’t leave the place worrying about the plague. Those are some low standards and Hilton failed hard to meet them.…
So the A/C went out at our house and my husband and I got a room last night to combat the heat. Tessa was so wonderful! She gave us a free room upgrade, made sure we had bottles of water, and had grab-and-go breakfasts for us to take in the morning. The room was clean, fully stocked with everything we needed and blissfully cool. Thank you Tessa so much for taking care of us!!!
