I had the privilege of staying here for a short while during the Euro's and I can honestly say that I have never came across a more friendly and welcoming bunch of people, from the management right down to the cleaning staff from the moment we arrived i found the facilities were of the highest standard. I had the privilege... More

A very romantic stay in a spectacular setting. We had a large modern apartment with the bedroom on a mezzanine level overlooking the lounge area & vineyard beyond the pool. Great big bathroom & huge room. Bed was really comfortable & everything we needed was there. Pulling up to Chateau de Pizay was breathtaking (particularly as hubby surprised me). Walking... More

A beautiful converted chateau with high class facilities and spacious well maintained grounds. My room was split level with a bed upstairs and a lounge and bathroom downstairs. Not ideal if you don't like stairs. The food was good and well presented but the waiters were uncooperative when members of our party asked to have tables moved minimally so they... More

I booked 3 months in advance for a special family occasion at a high price (400 euros per room x2). A month before the stay, we asked for a lunch reservation and we were told the restaurant was closed. Then that it was full. My mother is elderly so it was really an issue to have to go to a... We have stayed in the domain on a special price package. Our room was very clean, but needed small refurbishment. We have been told later, that the whole Chateau is undergoing modernization. Our package included as well 2hrs spa and a 3 course dinner which we enjoyed very much. Overall very good stay, but at the moment of refurbishment we... More

We visited Chateau de Pizay as it was recommended by friends and we wanted to be in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region. There are rooms in either the modern section (we did not see these) and the older, more classic section where we chose to stay. The room was spacious and we had our own patio but we... More

The appearance of the Chateau as you approach is very imposing. Checking in was smooth and the receptionist was very helpful with excellent english. Parking was well explained and we found a space within easy walking distance of our room which was a duplex suite in the grounds of the Chateau. The appearance of the room was good with a... More

We had a beautiful "duplex" room ,the reception staff were very helpful, and managed to get us a table in the restaurant despite our late arrival. The hotel is renovated stylishly everywhere except for the breakfast room which resembled the cafe in a modern local authority swimming pool- where they refused to serve the omelettes etc which were available to... At booking we did not realize enough that this was a relais de silence. After a long drive kids longed for a swim. After two remarks of visitors that they should not splash not jump we left disappointed. At diner it mentioned a steak for either 2 or 4 people (1 course) at 120. This was per person and not... We had such an amazing / relaxing weekend! The spa and service was great. Highly recommend the massages, a time well spent. We loved the morning buffet and evening apero. Definately take a bike and tour the stunning vinyards near by! The restaurant is a little lacking in luminosity. There was a wedding during our stay so we had the... More
