Max Headroom ! Looks very nice. However, rooms are small, and your head might risk some damage. Personnel very kind, however maintenance lacks some attention. Golf ok, but lot of distance to walk between some of the holes. Buggys need to be back at 6:30 pm !!!!

Dear guest, only one out of our 100 bedrooms has this particular setting with a smaller door and wooden beams. It is a favorite to many but we appreciate you would have prefferred a different one. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly for your next visit. The golf course is managed separately to the hotel, please contact them directly for any comment. Kind regards

Beautiful hotel, we stayed as were attending a wedding close by. The staff were friendly & very helpful, nothing was a problem at all. Serdal the lovely barman was super friendly, chatty & informative - he really made our stay even more enjoyable with his knowledge. I would definitely return with friends, the pool area & hotel were absolutely spotless. The food was delicious although I feel there could have been more choice in the main restaurant (this would be my only negative & only very slight

We booked through Secret Escapes based on both the location and the facilities. The experience fell far short of expectation. It is easiest to present this as a list. Parking: Good Check in: efficient. This team spoke good English and provided a warm welcome - but there is no bell service. Rooms: Spacious and well furnished but with the first clues that the operation is focussed on cost saving. There are no cups, except paper. No teaspoon , just wooden stirrers. For two guests there were 3 pillows and one bathrobe. All information is in French only. Of 53 TV channels none were in English. The seats on the balcony were grossly uncomfortable with no cushions In the toilet ( separate from the bathroom ) there was no extractor fan. Pool: a pleasant area with sun beds and parasols. The sun beds nearest around the pool had no mattresses so were incredibly uncomfortable. The pool bar seemed to be more of a staff meeting point than there to provide service. Towels had to be collected from / returned to front desk - why not here? If you want a drink ( or indeed for your glass to be collected ) you have to go to the bar - why no poolside service? Room service : There is none until the evening Breakfast: the buffet and the multiple dispense machines for coffee/ juice/ water/ etc is reminiscent of a Holiday Inn Express - not a 4 star hotel Dinner: Disappointing food and lousy service! The maitre d’ and his number 2 are highly skilled in avoidance of work & diners. The real failure is the French star system which accords more importance to the size of a room than any consideration of quality & service. In truth this hotel deserves no better than 2 star!

We stayed for 2 times 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. rooms were nice , staff was friendly , swimming pool was good but honestly why bother with a restaurant. we had lunch twice and dinner once and it was really bad. when you can butcher a quality ingredient like turbot into a slimy substance then something is horribly wrong. it is all saved by lovely and friendly staff though. i would love to come back but hopefully they have sorted out their issues in the kitchen

My family and I had a great time at this hotel. The junior suite is a thing of beauty, once we stepped in we forgot all the trouble we had with the prior accommodation booked. The ambience is very relaxing and the staff are ok.

Les Voûtes Restaurant (outdoors in a courtyard + in the garden) offers a choice of 2 menus (35€ and 59€), both of which change with the season. The Tomato is the theme of the current "Gourmand Menu" (5 services). A wide variety of à-la-carte dishes featuring local Var produces are likewise available. The (very reasonably priced) wine list offers a large choice of local & international wines by the bottle or glass. My favourite entrée was the "Foie gras de canard with melon & ham"! A must taste! My favourite main dish was "Le Boeuf confit 6 heures"! The wide array of desserts (including assorted ice creams & sorbets) was equally enticing!

We have been coming to the Moulin for 24 years, the setting is superb, a very special place. We chose to have dinner there as part of a family birthday celebration, the 5-course tasting menu was quite simply fantastic and incredible value. So good we returned a few nights later, we tried the 3-course menu which was also very good, on both nights the wines we chose were excellent. The most important factor for me was the excellent new management led by Bruno Ibanez, highly professional and attentive, nothing was too much trouble - great to see such a special place being developed and presented with great care and expertise - we will be back soon!

Besides the grounds, the best thing about Vernègues is the staff in all departments (including pre-check in) - very friendly and helpful. Other reviewers have said it: the setting is idyllic enough to make Le Moulin a 5-star resort, but the owners have decided it would be more profitable to position this as a 4-star hotel but charging 4-and-a-half-star prices. Room décor and amenities are definitely basic, like in a Holiday Inn, Mercure or Novotel. We stayed in a room in the new wing, yet there are stains on the carpet as mentioned by some visitors. The energy-saving, not-too-flexible aircon system was not working too well during the recent heat wave that hit France. The gym is rudimentary, but then perhaps most guests who come here don’t bother about fitness. The swimming pool is set among beautiful, mature trees, yet it is not well cleaned: even with anti-fogging goggles, be careful not to hit other swimmers if your head is under water too long! We didn’t have dinner, only breakfast; the terrace is beautiful and peaceful, whereas the low-ceiling inside is a bit claustrophobic (but charming - well, it is ‘Les Voûtes’!) Breakfast is decent, typical 4-star. Although multi-ethnic, the clientèle is mainly French, and almost exclusively European. I met a funny artist from Brno who calls himself Bruno. I would go back here if I need to find accommodation in the area, but wouldn’t go as a destination.

Really lovely place. We just slept one night having dinner there. Room were spacious. Easy to park. You are outside of the city but in a really calm environment. Reception staff very friendly (good check in by the lady Ocean). Dinner was tasty and good service. Breakfast was also pretty good. Swimming pool enough big and well equipped. Something to improve: - When we checked in, there was just one bath towel in place of two - quality of danish pastry: in France you expect more
