We have been an elite Marriot member for a long and this Residence Inn put a lot of Marriot 5 star hotels to shame!! First off, the check-in counter personal, Juwels, i think thats her, was wonderful! She was patience, friendly and profrssional. I was not feeling well due to a dental emergency. However, Juwels was sympathetic and wvwn offered to call a dental clinic!! She alsi offered tylenol but i already had some. Juwels also told us about the shuttle and reserved the bus for us so we can go to downtown Anchorage to eat!! By taking the shuttle, she saved us money from taxi or uber fare! Thank you so much Juwels!!! Our shuttle driver, Aaron was also friendly and professional. He dropped us off and picked us up on time! It didn't end there! Hot breakfast was also included! We have been to so many Marriott hotels and partners in the past but the service gentleman, Albert, was on the ball!! He made sure all the food were stocked properly, unlike other Marriotts and partners, we did not run out of things to eat or had to wait. There was a lady who was "health" conscious or perhaps had food allergies, she was asking Albert if theres nuts/soy in the food but Albert patiently brough the bread package to show her the nutritional facts/ingredients. That's a first class move! Hope that lady thank Albert!! Last but not least, there's a shuttle to the Egan CC to take us to our cruise! Thank you Mid Town Residence INN staff for making our stay one of the best!!!!! Almost forgot Andre!! Andre and the bus driver that tool us to Egan CC, thank you too!!!

FAILED MOBILE CHECK IN, NO ROOM UPON ARRIVAL. Lifetime Marriott Platinum member here. I did mobile check-in the day prior with a 9pm arrival. Got to hotel at 10:20pm with NO KEY, NO ROOM. Staff fed me a load of BS for about 30 minutes. Bottom line, overbooked, and they did not honor my mobile check in. I had to wait over an hour for 1. the manager to call other hotels unsuccessfully looking for a room for us, and 2. Housekeeping to clean a room - at 11:30pm! Finally got a room, key handed to me while the desk clerk was on the phone. Very bad staffing and service. WORST MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE. USE EXTREME CAUTION - CALL HOTEL THE DAY OF YOUR RESERVATION TO CONFIRM YOUR ROOM! I now see other similar extremely bad guest experiences in the reviews below. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. You've been warned. Suggest Marriott do an intervention on this property.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while attending a conference at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't need a full kitchen, but that's what you get at Residence Inn. I needed to print out my boarding pass, but there wasn't ink in the printer, so the woman at the front desk printed it for me on her printer. The breakfast was great! The guy who sets it up also cleans up afterward. He was working very hard both mornings I was there.

We spent one night at the Residence Inn and were very satisfied with our accommodations and the courteous management. Our room was clean and quiet and we appreciated the included breakfast. Dre at the front desk was extremely obliging. He took us downtown on the complimentary shuttle, brought us back in a timely manner and delivered us to the airport. He couldn't have been more helpful and we certainly appreciated his cheerful service.

I have stayed here many times but this stay was the worst. Check in was easy but was never asked if I was a member or offered the membership. Was not asked if I was a senior citizen or an AARP member; was SHOCKED at cjeck-out the room was 369.00 for the night. I did not want to buy the studio. Customer service is very important as I have worked customer service in many aspects of my life time; and the service here was unacceptable. If I was the manager there would be some massive training going on. I will find another place to stay in Anchorage going forward from now on; as a resident who likes to support businesses in our own state it will get my business else where as this place has turned in to a joke.
