Stayed here 1 nite after our cruise. It is owned by Holland America. The tour desk staff are very nice but get swamped from all the buses arriving at the same time. They had our room information and keys ready for us so just needed to head to the room. Two very small elevators can only hold 16 people...plan to...

It is a hotel used by HAL for cruise passengers and cruisetour travelers. It is normally chaotic when cruise arrived and departed with over hundred people around. There is no lobby or adequate seats during peak hours. The hotel is dated and the corridor dull and unattractive. Room size is reasonable. But linen and quilt cover look old. Sliding door...

Staying in this hotel is like stepping into a time warp. Cross the treshold and welcome to the mid 20th century. Not sure how they were able to preserve this facility and keep it in working condition. But then a lot of Anchorage seems from another era. Low ceilings, small crowded lobby and front desk. Ancient elevators. The entrance to...

I was a bit nervous to stay here considering the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. First, the Westmark has a great location downtown Anchorage. If you don’t have a car, it’s easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, the visitor center, the NP visitor center, etc.  If you’re with the Holland America land tour and do want a car, there’s...

After ending a week long cruise and being in small rooms on the ship, it was nice to get to the hotel and have a spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. We had a great view from the 7th floor and took advantage of walking around the surrounding area. Their breakfast the next morning was beautifully presented with real scrambled...

The hotel is a bit dated (like everything in Anchorage) but the nice rooms, great staff and excellent restaurant make up for it. The room was large, the beds were comfortable and the staff were amazingly helpful. Located in the center of downtown and close to many restaurants and gift shops. Short walk to an 14 mile hiking trail along...

Part of our Land / Cruise package was gathering or staying the first night at the Westmark - yes the hotel shows it's age but it's clean comfortable - staff friendly - really no complains - Downtown setting so it's easy walking to all the attractions - plenty to do in the area ! We would stay here again !

We booked a cruise on more of the exclusive cruise lines. This is a 5 time to Alaska and always booked the same room - a suite. We normally get a room of the same quality as the one we have on the ship. This room equates to that of a clean budget motel. If you are are tall -...

The hotel is certainly in need of a makeover but it is still clean and functional. Beds were comfortable, location was superb, and the staff even better. They must give everybody there happy pills. Very helpful.

Not a fancy place. The lobby was a bit run down, but as we were leaving they had shut it down and were using a temporary lobby on the other side of the building while the original was redone. There was a lot of wind while we were there and we had problems with the slider creeping open a little....
