My best friend and I came to Alaska as a celebratory trip after graduating college and stayed at the Captain Cook during our time in Anchorage. To say we love this place would be an understatement! We enjoyed gorgeous Mountain View’s from our room, made use of the mini fridge and coffee maker available, and had a clean and comfortable experience. Front desk staff was very kind and so was valet/bellmen (we loved chatting with Amor, he gave us great recommendations!) We dined at their breakfast restaurant and had great food, but our favorite experience by far was dining at their luxurious roof top restaurant, the Crow’s Nest. We had the most delicious meal & bottle of wine enjoying waterfront views and it truly made our stay worth while. Last but not least, we had to make last minute itinerary changes and chose to stay at the Captain cook a second time during our trip, and the front desk staff remembered us and upgraded our room to water front views free of charge!!!10/10 recommend this place! Also very convenient location in anchorage which was a great bonus!

Room Tip: Highly suggest just valeting the car if you have one because surrounding parking lots charge...

We stayed one night in an two room executive suite that was clean, comfortable although it was slightly dated. Beds were comfortable and shower had great pressure. Hotel has amazing views and centrally located near airport. The hotel/bar restaurant Fletcher’s had excellent food and we had a delicious breakfast as well. Check out the cool paintings in the lobby and the haunted bathroom downstairs.

We began in room 661 and ended with room 1661. Oh how I love the junior suites! We own in Ninilchik so this fabulous hotel is always our first and our last stop after Ninilchik. The beds are SUPER comfortable!! I’m a mattress snob and love the Beds at the Captain Cook! Truly their junior suites are our home away from home! And the views are over the top spectacular!!! ♥️♥️♥️ We always order breakfast from the Pantry. We normally get the Hungry man’s breakfast but this last visit we had two of the Lox and Bagels. Wow! So delicious!! They are $17 each with enough salmon per plate to feed 2 people!!

The Hotel Captain Cook has everything you would want in a hotel and more. It is in a fantastic location that is walking distance to shops and restaurants. The food at the hotel is very good as is the service. The hotel is decorated with rustic Alaskan decor and is beautiful.

Had a very good experience at the hotel capital cook. Love all the shops in the lobby area. Lovely art and decorations. The service was excellent - you should use the valet. There really isn’t another parking option assoc with the hotel and the nearest lot is $30/day while the valet is only $36/day and you can come and go as you please. Jamie came and fixed our tv. Thank you! Good responsive service. Would stay again. Lovely views
