Friendly helpful staff, stunning views, great breakfast. Some of their normal amenities were suspended/limited due to Covid-19. We were upgraded to a corner junior suite on the Captain’s Deck (17th floor) with a spectacular view of Cook Inlet. Breakfast in the Cafe was excellent with large servings and “Sindy” provided exceptional service. Fletcher’s restaurant was excellent also with terrific service. It was less expensive than the Crow’s Nest and the food was excellent. I had the grilled scallops with mushroom risotto. This was the best risotto I’ve had since I lived in Italy. We would stay here again.

The hotel here is nice, large comfortable rooms with amazing views. Hotel has only on restaurant open but otherwise is running normally. Hotel is close to several restaurants and breweries, however, one must thread though panhandlers and intoxicated/high people even directly outside of the hotel. Many of the art galleries are closed, leaving mostly gaudy tourist shops. Try the Fat Ptarmigan, 49th state rooftop, and snow city cafe for food... Very easy access to the Tony Knowles trail (check out pablos for bikes), point north or south and the airport including lake hood floatplane area. COVID considerations - masks required in all common areas, not enforced though most people comply - rooms are still serviced here

Superior service from the moment we arrived; staff is very professional and cordial. Beautiful historic hotel, inside and out; many pieces of art to enjoy and some very impressive shops on the ground floor. We had a roomy 2-room corner suite high up in Tower 3, where you have a very good view of Towers 1 and 2, plus a glimpse of the bay on the other side of those towers. Room was spacious, very clean, well-appointed, and very quiet; no noise from the hallway, outside, or from adjacent rooms. We enjoyed excellent meals prepared-to-order from The Crow's Nest; prices were reasonable. Plan to take food back to your room (no interior restaurant seating open during Covid-19), or have meals delivered for a surcharge. Bed was excellent; very comfortable. Sheets are expensive but somewhat noisy; they made crinkly noises every time you turn over. Towels were surprisingly average but the robes were first class!

The room was over priced and not clean. We called to inform them and was told that we are sorry and we will make a note and clean after check out. There was a party in the room recently , thumb tacks in the wall , balloon debris and glitter. We were only staying for the one night on a Tuesday. I was then charged 500$ extra on top of the room for damages. We did NOT damage anything. I think they scam people to make extra money. They had said if the room was dirty they would have switched rooms immediately , they did not. Watch out for these pirates. Stay at the Holiday Inn instead.
