Although a good 10 minute walk from city centre it's an easy walk and the bus is close by and is cheap and easy to catch - however we only caught it once and walked into town the rest of the time. They also have bikes that you can use free of charge and off street parking. The room was... More

Layout a bit quirky with 2 buildings. Good location and free bikes. Laundry only from 4pm-9pm -- wish they had told me that. No alcohol on premises. Breakfast was nice. Son & wife help in summer. They are friendly, but should have told us of house rules when we reserved.

Stayed for two days. Overall clean, most amenities available (facial tissue, liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, plenty of towels and wash cloths, Lysol wipes-much appreciated). Breakfast staff was great, informed about the town, etc. Breakfast also ample, much available (cereals, breads, coffee, tea, jams, yogurt). One downer, about a 12 block walk daily to get to town. Attraction tours don't pick... More

This was a wonderful B&B. They made me feel so very comfortable and I felt like I was part of the family! The room I stayed in had its own private bath. It was impeccably clean and the bed was a dream to sleep in. Best breakfast with fresh rhubarb from the garden served in a glassed in room where... More

My wife and I visited Anchorage in July 2015. We found Walkabout Town B&B as a great place to stay. First of all, it offered nice rooms (clean and comfortable) and good breakfast (in a 4 season porch with glass ceiling). Secondly, it is located a walking distance from the downtown. So, on a nice day it was really a... More

Another couple, my husband & I stayed at the Bed & Breakfast 1 night before starting our cruise! Our flight out was a nightmare, 12 hours+ delayed. We kept in touch with Scott and he was very understanding and left us know how to get into the house since we would be arriving at 2 am in the morning. We... More

We've stayed in many b and b and were very disappointed with this one. The room we had was decorated in early builder grade. Wiring running along the floor, duct tape holding the shower head together. Breakfast was meager with one wafer thin slice of ham. Our welcome was 10 minutes of rules and a begrudging 'make yourself at home'.... More

We enjoyed 2 nights at Walkabout Town in August 2015. Our hosts were very welcoming, we enjoyed the breakfasts and the family room was ideal, with plenty of space for our family of 4 adults. We loved the fact that there were a selection of (free) bikes to choose from, which enabled us to access the various cycle routes around... More

We stayed here at the end of the season, mid September, and loved our stay here. The "Russian" room was very interesting and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly and accomodating. I can't say enough about Walkabout and would recommend them without hesitation.

Everything about my stay at Walkabout Town B&B was great. My flight got in at midnight, and they had my key in a box by the door. My room was very clean and cozy, and I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. I had to get up very early in the morning, so they had a packed... More
