Location: The hotel is located downtown and withing walking distance to restaurants and shops. Check-In: Check in was quick and efficient. Room: Our first room looked good on first glance but once I wanted to use the toilet I was in for a surprise as this toilet has not been cleaned for weeks. I called downstairs and they sent someone from the front desk with a little spray bottle and cloth to clean it. Once she noticed how dirty the toilet really was, she was very uncomfortable as missing this was a big deal. So, we had someone come and clean the toilet. The second problem was that the TV was not working. Having maintenance come up, we found out that this was a common problem with their TV’s, and we decided to switch rooms. The second room offered was clean but had a tub/shower combination which we did not want, so we went to the third room which worked out. They all looked like regular Marriott rooms with the basics on amenities. Room Service: We did not use room service. Breakfast: Breakfast was either a continental buffet or for 5 Dollars more the full buffet (no matter what Marriott status you have, which is absolutely uncommon). The buffet was fairly small and not related to Covid as there was just not more space for anything else. Service was very attentive and friendly. All employees wore masks! Staff: Front of the house was friendly and handled all problems professionally. The problem was the cleaning crew as the room was dirty, the hallway was dirty, glasses were in front of the elevators, and all this made it very uncomfortable. Concierge Service: N/A All over all: A great location, but the hotel is not up to the Marriott standard I am used to. Front of the house looks good but once you look closer you see all the problems.

Be very careful staff and managers only responsive to Alaska natives! Bathroom sink fell Apart no one repaired, house keeping nonexistent evening supervisor lied and said someone cleaned room at 7 am while I was sleeping. Supervisor threatened me saying we will watch you since your not local! Called GM and he yelled at me for complaining told me he would call police for harassment since I was calling to complaint. I had to get anchorage police involved since they continue to harass and refused to address the overt prejudice from their managers and staff! stay far away! The Hilton and Captain Cook hotel are much nicer cheaper and without prejudice and bias ! The anchorage Marriott Is worse than a motel 6 !

The hotel is in great location for sure. Close to all good restaurants, breweries and train station. It has nice view from the 20th floor lounge. The rooms are speciaus and comfortable. I appriciate that the stuff went extra mile for me. First of all it was super easy to communicate with them over messanger on the Marriott Bonvoy App. Secondly, they were able to give us early check-in which I appriciate a lot. And finally they helped us to store our lagguage when we took few days getaway to Seaward. I would stay there again for sure.

Spent 5 nights. Typical Marriott comfort and service. The dining/bar area is in bad need of an upgrade but serviced by attentive staff who served up a good Marriott Burger. Housekeeping on demand. The Club Floor had the same view as our 17th floor = inlet and mountains. The buffet breakfast there was not hot or very good but did offer more items than most. The breakfast restaurant was far worse. I don't like a buffet in this Covid time. Everyone breathing on the food and touching all the serving utensils = not safe! This location is perfect and I wonder why so many have mentioned that it is "close" to downtown = it IS downtown. 2 blocks to the Cap't Cook and within a few blocks to many good restaurants. Covid just sucks the life out of everything. Shops closed. Restaurants understaffed with long wait times.

I stayed here ten nights over three stays during my recent trip to Alaska. Hotel has been refreshed completely. The rooms have a more contemporary feel rather than the traditional Marriott 'brown'. I was up on 18th floor overlooking the downtown and port. The rooms are quiet and relaxing. Wifi worked great. Housekeeping was request only. The valet parking worked well. Reception staff were very receptive to requests. The business lounge opened during my stay and the person working there is very motivated to make you feel comfortable. I experienced a few teething problems which were quickly dealt with by the front desk staff. A couple of initially assigned rooms had issues with debris on the carpets. I was double charged for one stay which took a while to sort out. The breakfast restaurant was mobbed most days. The breakfast buffet was not covid protected with many folks handling the serving spoons. Although I communicated that to the food and beverage manager, no napkins appeared during my stay. This was in contrast to other hotels where I noted servers manning the buffet or napkins being provided at start of the line. Despite these issues, my stays were enjoyable and I'm impressed with the newly refreshed look. This hotel is just perfect for exploring downtown.
