Trees around the campground but not between each campsite. Dumping station only - no sewer at campsite. No cable, no wifi. The scenery around this campsite is beautiful with mountains and creeks. Gravel throughout campground. Friendly staff and helpful. Was convenient campground to use towed vehicle to Whittier and Seward. Campground is off the Portage Glacier Road about a mile.

Stayed here in Motorhome while seeing local attractions. Unique common fire pit area with nightly campfires and conversations. No sewage at sites but dump station available. Super owners and great staff. Little pricey but then it is Alaska. Big romey sites, not crammed together.

This was our first place we stayed with the rental RV. Being a first time in a RV the spots were easy to get in and out. We opted for the creek side spot loved it . All the spots were flat . The kids liked going down to the office and getting DVDs to watch at night. The yurt... More

Was a little cramp parking. But thats what RV parks are. There is creekside parking with fire pit. Kinda cool. There is also a fish stocked lake near by. View of the mountains surrounding the park are awesome. The downside I guess or is it really. There was no 4g cellphone reception edge (ATT). No tv channels, radio or cable.... More

We stayed at the Portage Valley Cabins and RV Park this past week and it was a very nice RV park. The views were great surrounded by snow capped mountains, a beautiful stream, and plenty of level parking. Free hot showers were included along with a cook shed/gathering spot with a fire pit and free use of grills. The price... More

We stayed here 3 nights after spending 3 nights in homer. The cabins are very, comfortable beds with some of the best sheets I have ever sleep on. Note the Cabins are made very well but they are not finished on the inside, there is just plywood up right now but that was no big deal to us since we... More

The views are breathtaking, we were watching bears up on the nearby mountain with binoculars. The staff and owners are beyond accommodating. They have everything you need, including propane (the only available place to fill for miles). They have sites on small lakes, and a stream. The facilities are very clean and nice. The uniqueness is a large gazebo type... More

What a great rv park. Spacious with full hookups. Lots a room in each spot. Fire rings and picnic tables. Amazing views! Family owned and operated. Scott and Tammy are the best hosts! Oh and don't forget Wyatt. What a cutie pie he is! Lots of things to do in the areas like portage glacier and visitor center. Canoeing on... More

We had been in Alaska for 6 days when we found this hidden oasis of a campground. If you are anywhere in the area looking for a place to stay, PULL IN. They have wonderful hook up sites, primitive sites and cabins. Tim and Scott were wonderful and made us feel right at home. We will be back.

Stayed here on our way to Homer - didn't want to stay in Anchorage so pushed a little further and find this gem. Very glad we did. It was very spacious, had a very nice grilling area with picnic table and a big campfire area for people to gather around and mingle. Free DVD movies that we could borrow and... More
