We were flying from Denver to Anchorage, with a layover in Seattle. Booked a one night stay in Anchorage so we could rest up and drive home. We were rescheduled 3 times due to mechanical issues with planes and weather. We ended up flying all night and didn't arrive in Anchorage until the morning of our check out, and never got to the hotel at all. When we asked for a refund, we were told that as "no shows" who didn't call in advance to let the hotel know we wouldn't make it, we could not get our money back. This is at Anchorage's summer rates- $252 a night! While I tried to explain that we couldn't very well call them from the plane while in flight, it was to no avail. I was directed to the manager's voicemail several times and left messages which he NEVER replied to at all. I finally contacted IHG's corporate office. They maintained the policy was valid and never even addressed the lack of response from the manager. Yikes. Is this what goes for customer service in IHG? Stay somewhere else. Lots of way better hotels in Anchorage to choose from, and most likely they will take your calls.

My husband and I recently stayed here as a resting point after our flight from Texas. Sad to say, we were disappointed. The lady at the desk was sweet, but she had a difficult time finding our reservation. Once in the room, I was surprised that there was nothing out of the ordinary for the cost. We are rewards members and received no “perks” at all. Not even a bottle of water. The pillows were uncomfortable and I was very frustrated with no hot water for my morning shower. There was no breakfast, but they mentioned there was a restaurant on site. When I spoke to the clerk when we checked out about our water issues, she just said, “thanks, I’ll let maintenance know.” Not what you want to spend money on. I think there are several other options in the city, look for those, we will be next time.

I stay at the Crowne Plaza every time I am in Anchorage for business and can say without any hesitation that the staff is what makes this an awesome place to stay. The top notch customer service received from Diamond at the front desk to Travis in the Club Lounge and Josddy & Nohealani in the bar is incomparable to anywhere else! Keep doing what you are doing!!!

My wife and I just completed a 2 night stay here. We picked this hotel partially because of their Platinum benefits. The first night the Club Lounge was closed because an employee "called in" sick, or at least that was the story we heard. Disappointing. The biggest issue we had was on the morning of our departure. We requested a 6am ride to the airport. A few minutes before 6am the FD employee tells us the regular shuttle driver had "called in" sick and that the Hyatt van would be picking us up. Well, at 6:05 I asked when the driver would be arriving as we had to be at the airport quickly. She said he would be here soon or "we could call her boss and tell him what a bad employee she was. Very strange statement even if she was trying to be funny. A couple minutes later I said we couldn't wait any longer and she agreed to call a cab for us and another passenger. That worked fine and we arrived at the airport on time. But a very stressful morning. Overall, the employees were all nice (especially the afternoon staff) and tried their best to smooth out any issues. The property was clean and tidy.

Almost everything was ok but nothing was better than average. When you consider the price I would call this a poor value. This hotel was not cheap. Free parking and an airport shuttle are assets. Empty in room supplies like Kleenex and unfriendly front desk staff are liabilities. Breakfast was ok. Room was ok. Recognition of my Spire Elite status less than ok. Work out room ok. Location offers nothing. For the price I would look elsewhere.
