We stayed 2 nights in the larger room with en-suite bathroom. It was very comfortable, clean and commodious. It is also very well located for visitors. Breakfasts were as tasty and filling as we’d hoped. Most notable was Vic himself. He is an interesting fellow to talk with and every one his recommendations turned out to be 100% accurate. He...

Very thankful that we chose this place to stay! This is probably the best B and B experience I've had so far. There are the usual praises- very pretty and comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, lovely breakfasts and great location. And then there are qualities that make this stand out- Vic is impressively knowledgeable on a wide range of topics, making...

The location and value of this place was great for a pre-cruise stay. It was easy to communicate with Vic via email and he accommodated all of us who had allergies. All of our requests were met as planned. It was confusing for me to find that he did not live on the premise, though, and we didn't know whether...

I stayed at City Garden Bed & Breakfast at the end of June for the Mayor's Midnight Sun Marathon. If you are running the marathon, this is the best place to stay. I was able to look out my window and see the start/finish line, and since it was raining the morning of the race, I sipped my coffee and...

Vic provided great personalized service, from scrumptious homemade breakfast to thoughtful conversation and recommendations. Wonderful accommodations, conveniently within walking distance to downtown area. Highly recommend if your in the area.

Jerry and Victor run a wonderful B&B, with comfortable, modern rooms. The common living and dining areas are well appointed and inviting. Each morning we were greeted with a freshly prepared breakfast, and the pleasurable company of Victor, who was sure that all of our needs were met. Both Jerry and Victor were kind enough to offer advice and insight...

I opted out of a conference hotel with the desire to see a little more of real Anchorage. Were my hopes ever fulfilled! City & Garden is a delightful property: comfortable, aesthetically furnished, perfectly located - but what makes the experience memorable is Vic`s witty personality, his always helpful support and suggestions and his desire to see his guests have...

I can not speak more highly of how Vic was so kind and generous a gentleman during my stay. He went above and beyond any expectation of a host. Vic assisted with a 530 am transport. I enjoyed my stay with lovely entertaining and informative conversation during breakfast. The room was clean and quiet. I was able to walk to...

Perfect location for any City Dining,Coastal Paths, Tours, Museum and Malls. Spent 4 nights with Vic and now want to adopt him. Breakfast with the other guest was a joy every morning and never too busy for a chat and advice. I would never have thought to go to the hospital to see the native art exhibition. Without his local...

Had a fantastic stay at City Garden B&B in late August. We cannot fault it. Very comfortable, bright and clean guest rooms. Fabulous, plentiful breakfasts. The location perfect to everything. As many other reviewers have mentioned, Vic is an outstanding host. He is truly one of a kind. Very knowledgable, interesting and helpful. Vic went out of his way to...
