We had a delicious dinner celebrating our 38th anniversary at the Pubhouse with the entree of Filet Mignon. It was the best ever. Our waiter, Christopher, was excellent, both professional and personal. We also appreciate Scott, the General Manager for always going out of his...More

Stayed there for two nights. Very good location close to main street in downtown. Plenty of parking. Price is competitive for Anchorage in summer. Coffee and refrigerator is a plus. Nevertheless outdated in many ways in particular TV (old bulky one). There was some noise...More
Convenient walking distance for a stroll around town under the midnight sun. Quiet neighborhood with a grocery store next door. Very roomy, with an in-room kitchenette (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, dining table). Enjoyed the vintage Alaska theme wallpaper! Great view of the inlet.
This hotel is a huge disappointment, room small, very cramped, very dirty, needs updating BAD, mold in bathroom, would not ever stay here again & would certainly not recommend to anyone. Way over rated.

WE left on our cruise from Seward which is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours by car or 4 hours in the train. If travelling by train to your port ,you wont need a taxi as Inlet Towers provide a shuttle bus to the railway station. Might I add that the train trip down to Seward was one of the most spectacular train trips we have every done, Highly recommended.

For the shuttle, once you have arrived at the airport and retrieved your luggage, you will need to notify the front desk at the hotel by calling 907-276-0110. If you do not have a phone, the desk agents at the airport are there to help you. The front desk agent at the hotel will direct you to a baggage claim door, have you exit outside, and cross over a few lanes to the taxi cab island. You will need to stand directly across from the door you designated while on the phone. The shuttle is a white van with red lettering, and reads PubHouse across the windows of the van.
As for booking a room with a view, one side of the hotel faces the mountain range, and the other the inlet, so you really can't go wrong either way. However, rooms are not typically assigned prior to a guests arrival, and therefore the room you get just depends on the hotels occupancy and your time of arrival. But when you are checking in, you may always request a high room facing which ever direction you prefer, and our desk agents are very good at accommodating requests the best they can.
