We picked this hotel at random on an internet search as we wanted to be in Sainte mere Eglise for the TdF - Tour de France team presentation on Thursday 30th June. We were pleasantly surprised both by the proprieter, Sebastien, who spoke excellent English, and by the situation in the center of the town. It was perfect for our... More

We stayed at the Hotel du 6 Juin in order to take the DDay Battle Tour which starts in the Airborne Museum in Ste. Mere-Eglise. It was an adequate room for a VERY reasonable price, and while breakfast was not included, it was offered (and we took it) for a small additional cost. Sebastien also offers dinner if you are... The proprietor was an excellent host and extremely friendly. Highly recommend it. Very close to the airborne museum and town square. Very beautiful city, with a market available in the middle of the week. We had an extremely positive experience and would definitely return.

For an extra 12-14 Euro, my wife and I had breakfast. We were given a cup of coffee, two pieces of bread, and shared six slices of Swiss cheese with three other families. The down-the-hallway shower had a shower hose not connected to the wall - so we showered garden-hose-style - sharing one small towel. The room carpets were not... More

Returned to Sainte-Mere-Eglise for a short break and stayed at 'Du 6 Juin'. Not much to add to the others comments about the the hotel and staff. The weather was great and the town was not too busy for the time of year. Market day is on Thursdays and and has all the usual farmers market attractions. The improvements to... More

I spent three nights in this Hotel in Early October - the weather was typical of Normandy, cold and damp. The hotel was warm and comfortable and the owners very nice. It is centrally located in Sainte-Mere-Eglise, I could walk all over town. It is also a good base for visiting the Landing Beaches and other historic places.

I booked this Hotel as a base for 7 days, 18th to 25th October, visiting the Normandy Landing Beaches. I had passed it at the beginning of September after I had visited the Airborne Museum, a couple of minutes away. I had not read any reviews and this was a spur of the moment booking, online. The room and facilities... More

The hotel appears to be a conversion/adaptation from an old home/farm. As others have mentioned, it is a stones throw from the famous church and airborne museum. Overall, our family prefers these local, non-fuss type hotels, so we are accostumed to the lack of super modern facilities. But where this hotel lacks, it makes up with total charm in unexpected... My husband and I booked a room at the Hotel du 6 Juin based on reviews from TripAdvisor. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were spending 6 days in Normandy. We had flown into Paris, took the train from St. Lazare to Caen. We rented a car in Caen and immediately began our sightseeing. One of the... More

We'd tried to get into the nearby too-modern Logis - full, but were re-directed here - thank goodness ! The patron could neither be friendlier nor more accommodating to my wife's special needs. Decent simple dinners - no Michelin stars but no complaints and certainly very good value - and nice relaxed breakfast with good fresh bread and croissants. This... More
