We booked a room for few days in Seattle and they didn't provide a shuttle service for us from the airport arrival even if was specified in the reservation deal. Then when we get there with an Uber, at midnight, they said to us that they were closed, and they left us outside in the rain for 15 minutes, until we were able to get the attention of a girl working there at the reception, explained the situation and get inside. They apologized, gave to us breakfast for the day after and reimbursed for the Uber. Even if they try to fix the situation and even if everyone can makes mistakes, it was really poor treatment. We expected more from an hotel by Hilton.
My boyfriend and I have stayed at the Arctic Club about 3 times now and have enjoyed it every time. We stay on the 2nd floor, which can be loud in the corners, but is worth it for the cool, large room. We have stayed on the higher floors, which I guess historically were offices, so they are smaller. The ballroom is breathtaking. The bar is funky with a pool table and a light up polar bear near it. Overall it is a cool spot. I'm looking forward to our next visit.
The hotel felt upscale and had very friendly staff, but the decor is almost certainly targeted at an older crowd--younger guests may be looking for something more contemporary (obviously as this is a classic boutique style, this does not count against the hotel in my review but is just mentioned as it could be an influencing factor). The location is fairly close to Pike's Place and surrounding sites, but is not located quite in the center where could be more desirable.
The ambience and the atmosphere set this place apart from the rest. The service and amenities are amazing. Very close walking distance to everything. Can forget the warm cookies no matter what time of day!
I travel to Seattle a few times a year for work and the Arctic Club is just a few doors down from our Corporate office. The hotel is lovely, clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I am glad to have such a nice hotel near the office so I don't need a car to get around. The hotel is only a few blocks from the water's edge and lots of restaurants nearby. I prefer not to walk the area alone as the homeless population is a problem in Seattle but am fine in the company of fellow employees familiar with the area.
The pillows were the least comfortable pillows I've ever had in a hotel. It was a terrible sleep. They had zero complimentary Wi-Fi and I would have to pay $10 for a night. It's 2020 ffs you would expect more from a brand name hotel. But hey they offered me a cookie.
The hotel has a excellent location, and nice staff. Its super clean and I really felt comfortable. Its really old and dark, but its charmed and has a character. The hotel has an interesting history, ask in the front desk. I used the room service and it was nice. I recommend it.
This was our second stay at this cool hotel in the past year. Very interesting history in a handy part of town, especially if you intend to take in a sporting event or trade show. Lots of police activity in the neighborhood, and it doesn't really feel very safe right now in various parts of Seattle, but the Arctic Club offers a comfortable haven and Uber and Lyft arrive with minimal wait to take you wherever you want to go. Very convenient bus access and also an easy walk to King Street Station if you want to access Amtrak...just be careful where you walk. Service at the Arctic ranges from welcoming and professional, to indifferent and incompetent, depending on the day and the hour. Catch it right, and you'll be rewarded. At the wrong time, you might be frustrated. Everyone is very nice, however. We will certainly be back. …
Had a 2 night stay here on Friday/Saturday. I rarely give 5 star ratings but this property deserves it. Staff was very responsive to communication before arrival and during. Inna was very helpful at check-in and sent messages/calls to make sure my stay was good. Room: I was upgraded to 1015 with the balcony. I found the room nice with historical touches. Bed was comfortable. This faces 3rd but the noise was limited and I am a light sleeper. Polar Bar: Good happy hour and very helpful staff. Juno: Breakfast was very good and as a diamond member was given $14.00 per person towards anything on the menu. This would be my first choice if staying downtown.
Cool historic hotel but not a great area for things to do or restaurants. Nearby stores have limited hours. Some not open on Saturday till noon. Similar limitations with restaurants. About 7-8 blocks from Pike market so can make the walk to find things to do.
