Enjoy your stay in Seattle!
I am glad I stayed here because it was absolutely pleasant. Bed is nice, super clean. This charming gem is located in the capitol hill area. My wife and I have never stayed at a b&b but we will be planning on doing so more often. My wife has allergy issues and harsh chemicals are difficult for her to tolerate. She did not experience this here.
I'm really glad we stayed here for the 3 nights we spent in Seattle. We stayed in the room with a queen and a twin and it was spacious and comfortable for our family of 3, with a balcony and a little closet where we kept our bags. I enjoyed the living room area as a get away to read after putting my 4 year old to bed. Breakfast was fine, though by the 3rd morning we were craving a hot breakfast rather than yogurt, fruit and bread. We didn't have to wait much for a bathroom. The location was great- a few blocks from Capital Hill restaurants and public transportation made it easy to get around without a car.
My partner and I were escaped to the West Coast for a road trip and stayed in this charming B&B in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. We had rented a car so it wasn't an issue being in a more residential neighborhood. The house is big and the owner is very friendly. The breakfast served was good, and their were enough bathrooms that we didn't have issues using them when we needed to. the Master Suite at the top is more expensive but is worth it for the great view and privacy.
Being the procrastinator that I am, the hotel where people attending a wedding I was invited to was completely booked, and other options were a bit pricier than I was hoping for. I looked into the various B&B options that appeared in my search and found the Bd and Breakfast Inn Seattle. They had several room choices, most with shared baths, the one I chose, the "Mini Ensuite" had a private bath. I had a couple of questions which I emailed and was happy to receive a response almost immediately. Since we were going to be there in mid August, I asked about air conditioning; our chosen room did not have it, but it had a fan. The weather in Seattle was great during our stay, and although we did run the fan off and on, we really could have done without it. I also wanted to know if there was a shower along with the vintage tub. There was. Since we were arriving late, we received specific instruction as to how to enter the secure home, and where to find our keys to the room. The location was great, 1.7 miles from downtown, happened to be half way between two of the events we were participating in. The room was neat and clean, the bed comfortable. The dresser drawers nicely lined, and there were plenty of hangers in the closet. The bathroom fully stocked with towels. Since I had sent a second email to find out if I would have to bring an iron or a hair dryer, they made sure that I had both upon arrival. The owner was also accommodating when I mentioned that it would be difficult for my husband to get in and out of the tub, she not only brought a rubber mat for the tub, but also arranged for him to be able to use the shower in another bath located on the same floor. The one thing we noticed when we settled in - no TV, nice change coming from home; TV on out of habit and the DC area where it is politics and news all the time. Breakfast started at 8:00, the freshly pressed coffee was great, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, and assortment of breads, yoghurt, cottage cheese and a variety of jams and spreads. plenty to eat. But what I enjoyed the most was the company, being at a B&B and meeting travelers from around the country (Minnesota) and the world (Uruguay, Sweden and Spain) was great, some were there for a couple of days, some for a couple of weeks. The B&B staff were friendly and personable; the icing on the cake came during my discussion with one of them when I mentioned that our flight the next morning was really early in the morning and we would miss breakfast, she said she would be glad to prepare a "to go" breakfast. Overall a great experience which I would be happy to repeat.…
We arrived late at night and were sent very straightforward instructions to check ourselves in. We booked a room with a shared bathroom but we only came across someone else in there once in the 2 nights we spent there. The beds were very, very comfortable and clean and we slept incredibly well. The owner also kindly let us leave our bags in our room for a few hours longer after check-out. It's in a good location and we were able to walk all over Seattle from there.
