My wife and I just returned from a trip to Seattle and cruise to Alaska. We our spent 3 pre-cruise nights in Seattle staying at the Inn at El Gaucho. I booked this hotel through Trip Advisor, and although I usually stay with "name brand" hotels I also really enjoy finding and staying at independent Inns. I couldn't be happier... More

Located above the pricey El Gaucho restaurant, this small and well-priced hotel is in the perfect location: about a half mile from the Space Needle (and the monorail to downtown) and a half mile to Pikes Place Market, three blocks from the harbor walk, plus lots of neat restaurants, bars and shops in the surrounding neighborhood. The decor is retro Hollywood... More

Location is fantastic. Didn't even realize how close we were to the Victoria Clipper. Short walk though some may have difficulty walking the steep hills. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved our room (#17). Would definitely stay here again. Nice happy hour in the lobby. If you enjoy boutique hotels and can do stairs, this is a great... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights prior to leaving on an Alaskan cruise. This hotel was perfectly located right between the Space Needle/Chihuly Gardens/EMP Museum area and the Pikes Market area. It was right by some excellent neighborhood restaurants and pubs. The staff here were so helpful and friendly. Loved the evening happy hour and the cookies... More

Many good things to say about this hotel - the location must be about the best compromise for seeing all of Seattle, being equidistant from the Space Needle, Pikes Place , the main shopping area and the coastline attractions such as sculpture park, or Seattle aquarium - I don't think you can beat it. The set up at the hotel... More

Thank you David, Maxwell, and everyone else from the front desk to the valet. Oh, and the fresh cookies were delicious!!

Had a lovely time staying here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the décor cool and retro, location is great just a short walk to both the Needle and Pike Place Market and there's a happy hour with free wine in the evening. Would definitely stay again!

The Inn at El Gaucho surpassed our expectations, largely due to the amazing service. While not much to look at from the outside (my girlfriend was hesitant when we first drove past), the lobby and rooms are very cool and stylish, in a sort of 50's vintage hard-boiled decor. Our room had a fantastic bed and very cool leather furniture,... More
