If you want to be in the Greenlake area, this is an excellent choice. A very nice home with five bedrooms of different sizes, and an innkeeper that is very attentive and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent, and the Greenlake park is just across the street for a nice walk after breakfast. We will return.

Property's Favorite Review
We stayed at the Greenlake Guest House during the first week of June. It was our third visit. Obviously, Julie & Blayne needed to make some adjustments because of COVID-19 - and they did so, with the same care & skill as everything they do to make their guests feel welcome & comfortable. They're extremely conscientious about social distancing & other precautions. We felt entirely safe & secure. It can't be easy to attend to guests' needs & wants (often before the guest can identify them) without seeming fussy or intrusive. Julie handles that balance with grace & genuine warmth. As I said in a prior review, for 5-star B&B's the tangible amenities are almost a given; it's the people who make the special ones so memorable & appealing. Greenlake Guest House is one of that small group. We would not stay anywhere else in the Seattle area. We made our reservation already for June 2021.

Thank you for coming back to visit us again. We so appreciate this thoughtful and detailed review, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. You are correct that we have made a few changes but our goal is to help our guest feel both safe and welcomed and I'm glad to read that we hit the mark for you. We will continue to do what we love, which is to host guests, during this time as long as we can continue to do it safely. Thanks again and we are already looking forward to seeing you both in June 2021.-Blayne and Julie

I've stayed at the Greenlake Guest House numerous times over the past 5-6 years, though not since the start of the pandemic. Returning for 4 nights in September for a work trip, I experienced all of the things that make this such a great B&B--a beautiful house; delicious breakfasts and homemdade, free snacks, an ideal location, across from Green Lake, and--most of all--the warm hospitalty of Julie & Blaine and their Assistant Housekeepers, Jane and Linsy. New this time around were measures to keep everyone safe uring this pandemic. The staff is fully vaccinated and masked; there are air purifiers throughtout the Guest House; dining areas have been spaced out considerably, including with new renovated patio areas for breakfast seating and lounging outside. There is also contactless ordering and food delivery to your room, if desired. Throughout my stay Julie checked in with me, in person and via texting, to make sure I had what I needed. I especially appreciated the wine, gluten-free cookies and other delicious items made from scratch to accommodate my dietary needs. I felt completely safe and pampered and I can't wait to visit the Greenlake Guest House again!

We absolutely love the Greenlake Guest House. First and foremost Julie, the innkeeper, is wonderful. Warm and friendly, always helpful, and she has great suggestions for things to do. The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are warm and very comfortable. The breakfasts are to die for! The area around is also great with the lake being a gorgeous walk and the local eateries are quite good. Everything is first rate.

Visiting again and finding such attention to health safety and outstanding care of our comfort and, of course, the most delicious breakfasts in Seattle! New and inventive items on the breakfast table (blueberry oatmeal pancakes!) and well-stocked fridge with drinks and "anytime" coffee/tea service. New outdoor conversation area along with our room's patio made relaxing (when not walking around Green Lake across the street) a charm. So very highly recommended1
