Honestly, there is no better location for a hotel in Ballard (and there really are only two hotels in the neighborhood so it's not like you have much choice). I don't mind an old "vintage" hotel, but this one is really worn. They tried hard to work with it, but other than a very comfortable bed it just wasn't worth the price. We paid about $220 a night for what felt like a budget hotel. Our room was one of the ones with the private bathrooms with a separate entrance around the corner. It desperately needs a facelift. The bathroom is tiny with nowhere to put any of your things and those pump machines affixed to the shower stall with nondescript liquid soaps. The walls are paper thin so you hear every word and move of the people in the other king room next door. With a window at ground level on a busy corner you have to hope the earplugs they kindly provide do the trick. Be sure to be clear on what room you're getting. We peeked into the rooms that share a bathroom down the hall and they're tiny. This hotel might work just fine for many people and the location really is perfect, just be aware of what you're getting.

Very charming but could’ve been a little bit cleaner. When we asked for a maid service we were told they were not doing that due to Covid. Too bad. The most important thing, though, is that they treated us with respect which doesn’t happen everywhere, as we are people of color

We used to frequent the Ballard Inn when our daughter lived in Seattle. The Inn's price point is perfect for what you get. The property is clean and all the shared areas are inspected throughout the day. We never had any issues with the shared bathrooms. Great coffee and we love that they offer newspapers in the morning. Access to the OAC next door is a great perk. We prefer the 2nd floor rooms but the 1st floor is fine on quiet evenings. We will be looking for an excuse to stay again soon!

Had a really enjoyable stay with friends over New Years. The rooms were comfortable. The hotel was in a great location. Best of all the staff was really flexible when members of our group had to cancel at the last minute due to a health emergency and cancelled flight.

This charming hotel was convenient and easy to get to if you are catching a plane the next day. It is on a nice street with cute restaurants and some shops. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is parking close by for 15.00 through the hotel. Reasonably priced.
