I used to live in West Seattle and am back to visit family. This used to be a dumpy place and the new owners have definitely improved it immensely. That's great because it is the only hotel in the area. The only criticism I have is the "minimalism" is a bit much. I've never been in a motel that didn't... More

The Grove was an excellent place to stay for the game. So close to the stadium, no traffic, easy access. Rooms and eating area were very clean. Food was a perfect continental breakfast. Good hot coffee. Very friendly staff! We will stay again.

Very clean and comfortable place. After staying in San Fransisco and downtown Seattle was very nice to stay at a place that was not totally populated with cars and people. A few nice restaurants and bars are nearby. We choose to walk to a pizza parlor in the rain. Awesome and stopped at Trader Joe's on way back.

Rustic on outside, room immaculate/clean with very comfortable beds. We arrived after delays at two airports and maneuvering driving directions after dark, getting lost at one point. Needless to say, we were happy to reach our destination. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. He provided all the information we needed. I thought to myself, normally I... Have stayed here several times and it is very nice. I love that it is extra clean and the beds are comfortable. Initially was worried about street noise but had no problem, never heard road noise or other occupants. Within walking distance to local pubs and restaurants. Breakfast is ok, I have had better but I also have had a... More

The Grove was the first motel on our tour of the US northwest and one of the most expensive. Well, that was due to the fact, that is is close (15 min. if traffic is ok) to downtown Seattle. Our room was very clean but there was a funny smell, probably some kind of cleanser. Also, since we had a... More

This is a nicely remodeled old travel inn and the rooms are really small. We probably should have gone for 2 double beds vs the one queen bed, maybe we would have had more room. The bathroom is super small and hard to move around in. The staff was nice and helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The included breakfast was pleasant with many choices and very good coffee. I was able to print my return boarding passes on the lobby computer.

I love West Seattle. It's so close to downtown but removed and a place unto itself. I was visiting my favorite Vintage Guitar store, Thunder Road Guitars, located in the middle of the quaint little downtown on California. I also had plans to see Young Fresh Fellows at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard, hence the need for an overnight stay.... More

The Grove was a clean motel with comfortable beds and a good sized room. The rooms on Alaska street are noisy during the day but quiet during the night. A modest and basic continental breakfast is available. Cab fare to downtown runs around $20 bucks. West Seattle is a very nice location and if you drive up Alaska Street to... More
