We booked our stay at Talaris through Chase Ultimate Rewards and were really pleased with our stay. The grounds are lovely and it felt like we were on retreat in the middle of the city. The included breakfast offered lots of variety—definitely better than what you get at many other hotels. Our room (Cascades B-1) was small but worked fine... More

We stayed here because it is an easy walk to Seattle Childrens Hospital. Loved staying there but the rooms, beds, baths are a step above camping out. Comfortable but no frills. The breakfast is to die for delicious. The staff were very helpful during our 10 day stay. Nice setting - 18 acres of trees in the middle of urbania.... More

I booked the Talaris Conference Centre for a night stay, having discovered it for the first time on a travel webpage (despite the fact that I lived in North Seattle for many years!). A Japanese-inspired modernist complex on expansive grounds, the Centre is clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the grounds are gorgeous (nesting eagles, ponds, paths). Who knew... More

We discovered Talaris on the Internet and stayed at Talaris for the first time in April 2011 when one of our sons wanted to tour UW. Over the past 5 years we have returned to stay at Talaris more than 15 times, when we headed to Seattle. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and... More

The property was beautiful and a wonderful respite from the city. We felt very safe staying there and this was important since we were three women. The room and bathroom facilities were not new with the exception of the bedding, but the room was clean so that didn't matter. Breakfast was beyond most breakfasts that are offered and the dining... Talaris appreciates your taking the time to share your experience with Talaris. We are delighted that you felt safe coming and going, No, our room and bathrooms are not new. We stayed one night at Talaris in Building C, the building that allows pets for an additional 25 dollars. The good first: free parking, quiet setting, private. Didn't worry that our car would be broken into. In a forested area and spread out somewhat like Sleeping Lady. No extra fees besides for pet. The not-so-good: The room, C 02 (easy... More

Thank you for sharing your experience at Talaris. We appreciate that you recognized the free parking and the serene setting. We are sorry to hear you felt the room was too small. As far as the plastic shelf, we will have our maintenance team make sure that is secure. Please understand that our property was built upon in 1968, with... More

This is an unusual property, with rooms in a variety of buildings scattered around the property, which features ponds, waterfalls, lawns and beautiful trees. Getting around in the winter rain would probably not be fun. Our room was not large, and a little dated, but everything worked EXCEPT FOR THE HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM, which is centrally controlled. It either blew icy... More

This is our second time staying at The Talaris Conference Center. very conventionally located to the Children's Hospital as to why we stay at the Talaris. The Talaris is located on very beautiful grounds, however, the rooms are a bit older. But well kept. They are always doing improvements. But No Central heat or air, It's controlled from another location... More

One of the biggest compliments we can receive, is for a guest to return to our property. Thank you for mentioning so many nuances that you like. In a park setting, comfortable quiet rooms with all the essentials. Just near the University but away from the bustle of the streets. Friendly staff and tasty generous buffet breakfast. I noticed that bikes were available, good to know for the next visit!
