As a family of 5, we stayed in this hotel. Rooms are OK and very clean. The walls are a bit thin so you do hear quite a bit, but otherwise, absolutely no complaints.
Breakfast is good, but I've had better.
Lower Queen Anne is not one of my favorite neighborhoods in Seattle, so I admit I was a bit skeptical when my wife booked a room for us here. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and it was reasonably priced. The...More

I wanted to spend a romantic day with my girlfriend, then I found this hotel. It's been there for quite some time, but it's well managed and well maintained. The location is excellent, right beside SLU. You can go wherever you want in Seattle within...More

It would have been nice of Sheraton to let us know in advance of our stay that the hotel is under construction (noise) and the courtyard is closed. Before I go further into the other problems of staying here... let me say that this location...More
We stayed here before and after our cruise. Such a convenient location...short walking distance from the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden of Glass, Gates Foundation, monorail, a great grocery store for breakfast and snack options, restaurants, and transportation. We were thankful for the very nice self-laundry...More

To get to the Japanese Garden on Lake Wa Blvd, your better bet is the bus ($2.50/person). The 8 line departs 0.5mi from the hotel, plus a 30 minute ride followed by another 0.5mi walk to the gardens. Due to the unfortunate lack of transpo in that part of town, Lyft/Uber is your best bet, at $12ish (each way) from the hotel.
There's also the Kubota Gardens which is sorta by the Rainier Beach light rail station, but I don't recommend walking from that station to that garden. Not pedestrian friendly.
Google's navigation is better than the metro website these days, especially combined with the app "One Bus Away" which tells you how many minutes until the next bus/train. Good luck!
