This was such a relaxing, luxurious yet "homey" environment, with the friendliest innkeeper one could ask for. A big, gorgeous old mansion in a lovely neighborhood, with plenty of common space to enjoy in the downstairs rooms. The bed was comfortable, and the room clean and more modern than expected in an old style home. I could hardly ever compliment...

So much better than a hotel! We stayed in the gorgeous Capital Hill room on the second floor. It was quiet, spacious and nicely furnished. Meticulous housekeeping, modern, private bathrooms, luxurious linens. The innkeeper and owner treated us with 5-star hospitality. It was a lovely experience. I highly recommend this B&B for its high standards and good value--free (street) parking,...

My husband and I stayed at the Shafer Baillie Mansion recently. The food was excellent! The hosts were friendly and helpful and willing to tell us the history of the mansion and the area. The building was beautifully renovated and maintained and full of historical interest and era appropriate furnishings.

We stayed here for 5 nights recently during a vacation visit to Seattle. I booked the S-B based on the great TA reviews, and we were not disappointed at all. Capitol Hill is a nice residential area, so you really feel like you are a local. You are within walking distance from Volunteers Park. Brenda and Ana are gracious hosts....

First, as title suggests, I have not stayed in any other B&B in Seattle. But when I return, I plan on returning here. Great place. Big old mansion that was built around 1910 and converted to a B&B by current owners. Wonderful rooms. Very quiet street. We had a car and found ample parking. Breakfast a real treat, with freshly...

In early October, 2016 we spent 3 nights at Shafer Baillie Mansion. Right from the greeting by Brenda to guided tour of the facility you are left with a great first impression and it doesn't end there. With all of her help navigating the Seattle area, bus stops nearby, and the hint that the fare may be only $1.00 each...

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here very much. The building is full of character and history, the bedroom was spacious and the public rooms - library, dining room, lounge and conservatory- were great places to sit and relax. Breakfast was very good and we appreciated the take away breakfast on our final morning as we had to leave early...

The Mansion was a great place to stay on our recent visit to Seattle. We arrived early and our room was not ready; however, we were able to register and found that when we returned from our day in downtown Seattle that our luggage had been placed in our room. The staff were very helpful in guiding us to a...

My husband and I stayed here to go to 3 Red Sox/Mariners games in August. It was about a 15 minute walk to the light rail that took us right to the stadium so no parking at the game! The Shafer Baillie Mansion was an unexpected gem. Beautifully restored with comfortable and elegant rooms, this quiet B and B sits on a beautiful residential street on the old "millionaire's row". The eight bedrooms are full of beautiful antiques but the beds are comfortable, the sheets are soft and the bathrooms are spacious and modern. Anna, the owner is delightful...
