This bed and breakfast is in a great neighborhood across from Volunteer Park, right in Capitol Hill - very scenic and quiet while still convenient to public transit. Melodee, the owner, is terrific, as she greeted us at the door and walked and talked us through the house and amenities when we arrived. The upstairs pantry is stocked with coffee,...

Melodee and her family welcome every visitor with comfort, information, friendliness, and fabulous cookies! My husband and I stayed in the quiet and comfortable Green Room for 6 nights in mid-July. The location--directly in front of a convenient bus stop and across from the inviting Volunteer Park--was perfect for our needs. Though breakfast is essentially a continental buffet, the offerings...

First the pluses: the location is great, just across from Volunteer Park, with plenty of street parking. It's convenient to downtown, Seattle Center, the Univ. of Washington. Melodee, the owner, is very friendly and gracious. The continental breakfast is generous with cereal, toast, sweet breads, fresh fruit, yogurt. Snacks and beverages were available in the guest kitchen upstairs all day....

My husband and I stayed at Mildred's about 15 years ago. We were enchanted. The accommodations were lovely and the food delicious. Our hostess was charming, and we felt very welcome. The location is perfect. As I recall the bus was out the front door, and we were able to get anywhere by public transportation. Add in the local park,...

We had booked the blue room for two nights at the beginning of our trip around Washington, Vancouver and Oregon (we flew in and out of Seattle), but liked so many things about the house that we booked the green room for our last night - both rooms had en suite bathrooms and were very comfortable - certainly no shortage...

Mildreds is a great bed and breakfast. It is centrally located in Capitol Hill and close by to downtown, Pikes Place, Zoo, SpaceNeedle. The rooms are very nice.. We stayed in the Lace Room which had a bathroom down the hall and I wondered how that would work as we were there for 4 nights, but it worked out fine...

I agree with all the positive comments mentioned. Beautiful building, great location accessible to public transportation, owner is very attentive and tries hard to provide tips on what to do in Seattle, breakfast is top notch with very fresh ingredients. In addition, wish to add that downtown Seattle can be quite seedy, whereas Capitol Hill is much cleaner and safer,...

We picked up a room in this establishment through another site. The home is old but has been maintained well over the years. We stayed in the Blue Room. The location is perfect! 15th avenue has many old, beautiful homes on it. The number 10 bus end right in front of the home and you can use that our uber...

when you walk in the welcome is so hospitable you immediately feel at home. Overloaded with antiques but we would happily return. Lovely homely breakfast and it's located right on a bus route to the city centre. Some nice eating houses within a short safe walk.

As part of our 20th Anniversary Trip, my wife and I stayed 2 nights at this WONDERFUL B&B. We stayed in the Blue Room. Melodee Sarver is a delightful host. The breakfast she made was the best we experienced in our 3 week trip she introduced us to Uber and we will be forever grateful. The walk to Pike Place...
