i am one of those "researchers" when it comes to booking accom. I research for ages to try and decide where is best to stay. for our recent visit to seattle we stayed 3 nights pre-cruise at this property and were very happy with our choice! one bedroom suite had separate bedroom, sitting area and kitchen and balcony. Our room faced the pike street and the freeway below so it was definitely a noisy during the day but only when we open the door to the balcony or a window. it didn't bother us as I quite like having a window I can open when I want fresh air. we like staying in nice accom and would definitely recommend it. the free breakfast was excellent - lots of options yoghurts, lovely fresh fruits as well as whole fruits, porridge, toast and each day there was a different hot food - like eggs. we were there for the afternoon drinks and snacks on the Wed and Thur nights which was a great place to have some complimentary drinks and some snacks/salads - and was enough that we didn't need dinner. location was very good we thought - high up on Pike street so it was about an easy walk to the Pike Place Markets and downtown. close to everything in downtown and one night we called in at Cheesecake factory for dinner on the way back to the hotel. definitely recommend this accommodation and would stay again if we were ever to go back to seattle.

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is in a perfect location bordering Downtown and Capital Hill. I would guess that this property was built as a Hotel. I stayed here for a New Year Eve many years ago, but this was my first visit for business. The room didn't really feel like a traditional Homewood, instead I felt like I was walking into the Model of a Luxury Apartment Building. Kitchen was well appointed, and clean. The Bathroom was also clean with plenty of towels and such. The showerhead was fashioned in such a way that the water sprayed directly down from the ceiling. Very refreshing. Again, this property feels like an Apartment Building, rather than a Traditional Homewood. The living room was well appointed. Not sure what size the Flat Screen in the Living Room was, but it was huge compared to my 55 inch in my home. Could it have been 70 or 80 Inches. Bedroom had a King Bed with a smaller (although quite large) Wall Mounted Flat Screen. The linens were fresh and crisp. At the Evening Reception I was always greeted by a friendly welcome and offer of Wine and Beer. Most of the Desk Staff was friendly and welcoming. They do offer a grace period for checking in and parking your care for 10 minutes (Parking is outrageous). I called in advance and said I had a car only to get my luggage to the hotel, and was then returning it. I was told there would be no issue leaving it while I took luggage up stairs. From the time I walked past the front desk and used my Digital Key to drop off my luggage (quite literally 4 minutes), the Desk Clear said I'd taken 38 minutes and would need to pay for parking. After a bit of a volley she agreed to not charge me, but I was still concerned for the 34 minute discrepancy. She became argumentative, telling me the Garage Ticketing System was on a "Internet World Clock" or some non-sense. This clerk continued to act as though I was an Interruption to her day for the balance of my stay. Aside from the Cranky Clerk, you'll love your stay at this property and will be spoiled for other Extended Stay properties in the area.

The apartment style hotel made this an excellent base for a work/leisure trip to the PNW. The bedroom separate from the living area makes it easier for night owls to stay up and watch TV or work without bothering the early to bed person in the family. Just a short walk to the convention center and Westlake Transit Center. We managed to cover most of Seattle without renting a car.

$75 per night hold, so $525 hold for 7 night stay outrageous, more like weekly deposit. Call it what it is, definitely not per day charge for incidentals Staff and hotel were great and met my expectations. Great location to get anywhere in Seattle.
