The Place is in a pretty good area. I've been here (University District, Fremont, Ballard etc.) several times. Really, there's not much to choose from in this area and this is probably the best of the (small) lot. I guess I'm getting picky but for the price, just once I'd like the room I booked. I booked a single king... More

Hotel Deca is a beautiful hotel! A classic look but very modern and chic on the inside. Staff was very friendly and courteous, and the hotel is easy to get in and out of. The rooms are very comfortable with a decent view. You can tell the hotel has been remodeled and not in a cheap way. I had lunch... More

Quiet, comfortable, clean, and quality stay. The staff was overly helpful and very personable. The room was clean comfortable and very spacious. The location was perfect for a weekend getaway. The hotel bordered on being a boutique hotel, feeling a little aged, which I believe was appropriate for the neighborhood and venues around.

I would like to give this hotel a better than average review... but I can't. When you walk into the lobby, you get a sense of class. Even when you get to your room, the look and size of the room is nice. However, the real measure of a nice room is how you sleep in it. I didn't do... More

I stayed for work at Deca Hotel earlier this week. The hotel feels very dated and expensive for what it is. In other words, I just didn't see the value for the cost per night... Other than that, the hotel was very clean and the room was spacious..

On our wedding night we were randomly selected to be upgraded to the Presidential Suite. It was the coolest surprise that we've ever had. We will be coming back each year on our anniversary. We discovered this hotel as a coworker had stayed there and also loved it.

We chose this hotel for the University district location. That was the only plus. Never before have we been in a room where there was only a chain to lock the door. We would have left but it was too late to book another hotel. For the nearly $300. price tag (after you add on taxes, plus "resort tax," and... More

This place was so nice! Inside and out you felt you were back in the 1920s with all the Art Deco architecture and paintings. Solid Navy Blue inside which augmented the Pacific feel. The hotel is within walking distance of the University of Washington campus book store where everyone is friendly, a far cry from the East Coast! :)

I have stayed at Hotel Deca every year for the last 3 years for business at the University of Washington. I am very lucky to always get the same room (the person who books it knows my preference and requests the same room). This past trip I was given a different room on the same floor. The room was much... More

Had tickets for the Sarah Jarosz concert at the Neptune Theatre --- our first time in the U District. Discovered the Hotel Deca was just across the street from the theatre. It was a great find --- a artfully renovated historic hotel with nice amenities. The room rates were reasonable by Seattle standards, especially given the location. And best of... More
