W Seattle offers spacious rooms with appreciated amenities and views, though some guests have highlighted issues with cleanliness, noise, and outdated decor. The friendly and accommodating service sometimes falls short in terms of efficiency. While the location is a hit for its convenience to attractions and transit, the vibrant atmosphere may be offset by underwhelming decor and comfort. Amenities like the gym are functional, and perks like food credits add value, but parking woes and pricey room service have been noted. Cleanliness receives mixed reviews, and some travelers question the overall value due to additional charges.

We came to Seattle for 3 days to connect with our daughter and son-in-law who we hadn't seen in person for almost 2 years due to pandemic restrictions. We booked the hotel via Hotwire, which was really good value. When we learned that valet parking was $68 per day, we did some research and parked in another part of the city and bused in, which worked perfectly.

We loved our stay. The hotel is in the heart of town, our room was well-appointed and staff was wonderful. Daily room cleaning was not yet available but we could request services if anything in our room needed attention (towel replacement, garbage removal, etc.). The hotel bar and casual restaurant were just in the process of reopening and we didn't have the opportunity to try them.

The pandemic has been hard on the downtown core (many failed or temporarily closed businesses), but many things we enjoyed were nearby (e.g., Chihuly glass museum at Seattle Centre, underground tour near Pioneer Square, Pike St Market, Capital hill for interesting casual restaurants and coffee places).

This was a perfect base for our mini vacation.

First time in Seattle and it makes me want to move there. The hotel is in a great spot in downtown. There are Coffee shops in front of hotel and walk distance to all the popular stuff near the water. Brian was the front desk agent who checked me in and welcomed me. He was very nice and gave me some helpful info of restaurants that were delivery or patio dining. Room was over all clean and understandably missing things that could have been transferred from room to room. Hotel restaurant and bar were closed because of Covid but I found many places to go grab a bite. In a time were you don’t know what is safe or clean, I did feel safe and clean staying here. I only encountered one guest throughout my four day stay. Not complaining.
Housekeeping is upon request but to minimize extra people in my room I only had them change bedding and bring extra towels once. So thank you to the housekeeping department, wish I knew your names.
Definitely will choose the W again when I’m back.

Great location... easy walk (even in the rain... brr) to Nordstrom, Pike Place Market, Space Needle, Google. Rooms were clean and using the Marriot Bonvoy app made for easy requests when we needed new towels, robes, etc!

My daughter and I stayed at the W Seattle for two nights from 7/10-7/12 while we were apartment hunting in the U District for the fall. We could have stayed at another Bonvoy property closer to UW but opted to stay in the nicer W downtown. The staff was amazing when it came to keeping everything clean and sanitized, even the credit card readers were sanitized after each use. The restaurants and bar were closed due to COVID but we were able to Postmates some food to our room without a problem. Everything was fine until the second night when our neighbors next door decided to throw a party. There was screaming, loud music, they were very obviously intoxicated. Someone from another room was pounding on their wall or ceiling to try to get them to stop. Others had already called security and these people would settle down for a few minutes and then start back up. The second time I called was around 1 am and I was promised that they would be gone. I finally knocked out around 2 am from exhaustion not because the noise had stopped. I was disappointed because our morning plans were ruined since my daughter and I were too tired to wake up early on what was to be our last day in Seattle. With so many complaints you would think that security would have done something before 2am.

I travel often to Seattle for business and this was my first time at W Seattle — I usually stay across the street because of the close proximity to my office. While the room was comfortable and the location ideal, I was highly disappointed with the dining service in the lounge. This is really important to me as I often dine on-site when I am traveling for business. I waited for over half an hour and, despite a server passing by me multiple times, I was not waited on and mentioned it when I finally went up to the bar to order my meal. I continued to be completely ignored and then when I was forced to go back to the bar to pay because I was never acknowledged, the server who walked past me 20 times while I ate, rushed to clear off my table. I also witnessed this when I went to the lounge with co-workers for happy hour during another trip. They just have terrible service there ...and they know it. It’s a very “club-like” atmosphere and I need a hotel where I can get a meal and at a minimum “decent service.” This entire experience was so negative that I just booked my next stay at the Kimpton Monaco for next week (where I usually stay). I was attempting to keep my loyalty with Marriott Bonvoy, but will begin transitioning to IHG.

Since travel is so challenging this year, for our anniversary, my husband I walked about 10 blocks from home and checked into the W. It was our first stay at this hotel and we are already making plans to go back again. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff was very accommodating. Due to cleaning protocols, they explained that many items typically found in a room were now available only on demand. We asked for a few items to be sent to our room and they were delivered promptly. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We ordered room service and were quite pleased with the variety of menu options as well as the taste and temperature of the food. We look forward to our next visit!

Arriving late on a Saturday night to check in for a weekend getaway, the lobby was booming the base music in what appeared to be club except there were no more than a dozen people. The front desk was professional and recognized my Gold membership right away and upgraded my room. The club atmosphere made my wife nervous as we made our way to the elevator, but she felt a lot better when we got to our room.

The high floor room was very eclectic, modern with an industrial appeal. We had a view of Puget Sound between a few building. The bed had crisp white linen blankets, fluffy soft white pillows, and was comfortable. There was an HDTV, desk, artistic couch, and a Nespresso coffee maker. The bathroom was large with a shower tub. Although there was a strange AC noise in the morning that seem to come from the adjacent room and wall which wasn’t there at night.

My wife forgot her contact lens solution and unfortunately the front desk didn’t have it, nor was there a hotel store so I ended up walking to the 7/11 store, For anyone else needing to do this for emergency supplies, it’s 1 block to 3rd, turn left, and 3 blocks to Marion. It about a 10 minute walk.

Starbucks is across the street where you can get your morning coffee. There is also Shuckers Restaurant across the street for a nice seafood dinner (and breakfast). You are also across the Four Seasons who has a nice lobby bar for Happy Hour or late night drinks. Pike Place Market is walking distance, but only walk there during the day for you and your family’s safety.

Hotel parking is expensive, so find street parking if possible, or another lot or alternative transportation.

Overall a good stay but it seems like this W caters to the younger Seattle generation which I may be no longer be apart of.

I am so impressed with the service and the amenity in the room. I never stayed in W hotel and i recommend it to my friends for sure.
The location was amazing in downtown Seattle. so close to everything and uber was available so fast. The front desk agents were all so nice and they were so helpful. I have worked in a few 5-star hotels before and I was in the hospitality industry before. i just automatically paid attention to detail and i notice great bath products in the room. the makeup remover was a great touch. i even asked for 2 more makeup removers and they gave me 4 of those . great packaging,
the coffee maker in the room was Nespresso and very modern, the design of the room was matching the ambiance of the hotel, very artistic and they gave me a great room on a high floor with an amazing view :)
In-room dining brought the water & soda s so fast in a nice tray and because of covid regulations they were sweet, they left it there by my door. staff in the lobby by the fireplace were so attentive.
they also were able to give me a late checkout, because my flight was later and they offered to store my luggage meanwhile. I told front deks, you all were 5 stars.
totally detailed service and i also thank Bryan at the front desk. very helpful when i was stopping by.

Thank you all
Nafi

The hotel is in a nice spot and the service is good. There are a few things they could improve on. One Seattle is the city of rain, they should have guest umbrella’s without charging a $10 deposit. Also you should make sure you have all cable news stations and not limited it. Make sure you are capturing all you guest

The W Seattle is centrally located near the Pikes Public Market and the Ferry terminals in downtown Seattle. The people that I interfaced with were all fantastic thoughtfully taking care of everything for us. Since this was during COVID extra care was taken to ensure a safe visit. The well equipped gym was open but available only via a reservation and cleaned thoroughly before and after each guest finished.
Valet parking was expensive but very efficient. The rooms were bright, clean, and up to date while the tech was top notch. Restaurants were mostly open nearby for either dine-in or take out. Overall the W Seattle was true to brand and is highly recommended.

There is, but. not one you can use, unfortunately. It's one of those ones that is pre-filled and there is a notice saying you can't use it for your own stuff. It's too bad, but the rooms are fantastic.

Most hotel of the W caliber offered those services with outside vendors but given the current COVID issues, they probably have been suspended. You should call the hotel directly and inquire.
