Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Westin Seattle boasts a prime location that guests love, nestled near attractions such as Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. While the hotel’s cleanliness receives commendation, particularly for well-maintained desks and bathrooms, some visitors suggest that the property could use a refresh. Opinions on value and service are mixed, with concerns about high fees and inconsistent staff responsiveness. Rooms are recognized for their space and views but face criticism for appearing worn and not justifying their cost. Despite the scenic advantage, amenities draw mixed reviews, especially due to unexpected charges and missing conveniences.

The question posed by the Seattle Westin is this: Can or should an 891 hotel survive, though offering dining facilities sufficient to serve the number of guests who will fit into a flea’s navel? The answer seems obvious, but surprisingly, shockingly, the place apparently prospers, perhaps propped up by incipient cruise passengers who will never touch Seattle’s shores again. Would that I were one of them. You will doubtlessly find below this review a “response” from the property, purportedly authored by someone with the word “Operations” in his or her title. The response will, variously, tell you that your experience was atypical, non-existent and/or will drive them to do better. The individual will conclude by telling you to “Be well.” If your notion of “being well” involves

Great location but we didn’t have towels the first night, didn’t have enough restaurants for families. One place to eat supper and doesn’t have a good variety of food. No vending machines on floors. Just not family friendly location. We were hoping we picked the right location.

This hotel was a disaster. Waiting on an elevator took thirty minutes. The stairs weren’t clearly marked so getting anywhere felt incredibly dangerous and dystopian. The lines to get even a basic coffee were twenty people deep, and navigating the lobby was a minefield populated by an entire cruise ship. The rooms were just okay. They’re outdated and felt a little grimy. The view from mine was a cement wall with green puddles on the ground. All in all, staying here made my weekend so much worse, and it was a relief when I could be finally leave (but only because a kind stranger helped me carry my luggage when the elevator was full after waiting thirty minutes). What a nightmare.

Bad Management- condescending attitude- Bait and Switch Rates I made my original reservation 60 days out - the conference rate did not appear. I called the hotel and asked what should I do. I was told to reserve on line and when I arrive at the hotel they would adjust to the conference rate of $240. When I arrived and checked in - I confirmed I would get the contract conference rate. The agent said I had two reservations and would correct. When I checked out I was charged $430 and $385 per night. When I told the front desk manager of the inaccurate rate he said he could not do anything and acted very condescending. I called the GM and was told the same - to me - it seems they are doing a knowledge intended rate bait and switch. Why would they tell me when I check in I

I only stayed here one night but it was more than enough. I’ll start with the good: - Location is central. - On-site restaurant is good and they have a coffee bar - Common areas are reasonably updated if nondescript. - For my Titanium status I was put on a high floor with a view. They reached out in advance and I said my only request was no connecting door which they honored. Now for the not so good: - You still have to wait on a long line at check in (no elite check in as no one avail), hand over your credit card, swipe your credit card, and hand over an ID to get then be able to activate the mobile key card. Why? Other hotels allow you to skip the wait and go directly to your room. - Hallways smell musty and every door looks like it’s been in a fight. I could tell the

Not impressed with this trip. We have stayed here in the past and not had a problem but this visit was not up to par. Our first room was not clean at all. It was filled with long black hair- everywhere. The back of the toilet, in the shower, all over the bedding and pillows. We moved to a different room and the second room was fine but dated. We are elite platinum and our continental breakfast was a joke. The juice had been sitting out so long it had separated. There was bread for toast but nothing to put on it. No butter, peanut butter, cream cheese- literally nothing. The buffet was dirty and the food had been sitting out. This is also the first time that oatmeal wasn’t included. “Nothing hot” was the waitresses response. This hotel also doesn’t have a mini fridge and if you

If you're expecting the usual Westin experience at the Seattle Westin, guess again. This place hasn't been updated in decades and it shows... everywhere. 70s furnishings. Bed that is soft and saggy. Signs of significant wear and tear everywhere. Avoid. I wish I had.

After staying for the first night, my legs were covered up and down with bed bug bites. The staff confirmed the presence of bed bugs in the room, took all my possessions away for disinfection and moved me. They still had the audacity to charge us full price for the bed bug ridden room. Apparently bed bugs are just one of their amenities.
