Good hotel. Good location. Helpful staff. Rooms are clean. Good walkability. Pool is good size. Lobby lounge has good drinks. Valet parking is a good idea. It’s only $10 more than self parking. Good restaurants near by. Views are better from higher floors.
We have been staying at the Westing Seattle for new years eve for many years and have always enjoyed our stay. New Years eve 2022 was not one of those experiences. I had selected a "Suite Night" and informed the hotel that we would arrive at 11am. When we checked in, the desk clerk said that the crew was in our room and that he would call us when it was ready. We checked our luggage and went to lunch. Two plus hours later, we had not received a call. So, I began to "chat" with the hotel online. We we informed that the room that had been chosen for us was not ready. When I told the chat staffer that we were told that the crew was in our room, we were advised that the guests in that room selected a late check-out and that we would have to wait. I advised that the desk clerk told us that the room was being cleaned two plus hours before, I asked her who we were to believe. The response was that the desk was in another part of the hotel and that no verification would be attempted. I asked for any room that was available rather than one the hotel had "chosen" for us. The chat ended with, "Have a wonderful day" which seemed ironic knowing how frustrated we were. I went to the front desk. The desk clerk was most gracious, immediately provided us with room keys for a standard king room and sent us on our way. We have decided not to stay at the Westin Seattle again. It is no longer one of my "favorites". The response from their room operations manager was a form response. So, they neither care, nor seek to remedy this glaring lack of customer concern. …
We continue to return to this property because of the view, staff, and excellent sleep we get here! The food on property is delicious as well. We feel safe here too! Best part: Most comfy heavenly beds and wonderful location! Loved the views and amazing staff! Thank you!
Went for a weekend to attend a Seattle Kraken game. We got a room on the 44th floor and had an incredible view of the sound and mountains. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar in the lobby was really busy and a bit of a disappointment due to lack of staff, but it didn't detract from the experience. When parking in the garage, be careful of backing into the spots. Some of them have low overhangs that'll damage your vehicle if you're not paying attention.
This was a worst Marriott hotel that I’ve ever stayed and not something expected when staying at a Westin property. I was charged a wrong rate at check-in on top of the incidental, never received a hotel bill that I requested upon check-out, and the billing department doesn’t answer/return a phone call. The rooms are old and had unpleasant scent/stuffiness, and the furniture showed aging.
Great location, wonderful views and nice rooms. Our rooms heater didn't work but we didn't not say anything until checkout. Wish the burger restaurant was open later but the food at the 5th Avenue place was expensive but very delicious!
Stayed here again, been a couple of years, nothing changed really good hotel, great location, great service from very friendly staff. Bar excellent. Used the gym and pool, really good and of high standard. This has to be one of the best in Seattle
Visited downtown Seattle to meet up with out of town friends for dinner and an evening show, hotel is in a great location within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and local entertainment. The Westin has been around for a while and depending on which tower you stay in the rooms do show their age a bit. Had an early check-in with an upgrade to premium room on higher floor. Room was spacious and comfortable with city view, large bathroom and the rain shower, shower head was a nice touch. Pros: check-in was quick and staff were helpful with directions and answering any questions about the area. Lounge staff were nice and attentive. Breakfast buffet selection is good and extended hours are accomodating for late sleepers. Cons: day of check-in was a sunny day and I wanted to take advantage of it, when I went to close the sheer curtains behind the regular curtains I noticed the sheer curtains were gone, but the pull rods and curtain hangers were still there? Parking as with basically any hotel in downtown Seattle is expensive, Westin - valet $65, self-park $55. I had requested a late check-out on the day of departure and was informed by the front desk staff when leaving the garage (self-park) to use the room key to exit the garage, unfortunately when exiting the room key wouldn't work and I was lucky to have a valet attendent happen to walk by and notice and help me out.…
Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Seattle! The room was spacious and clean! The staff very attentive. They have the Relish Burger Bistro for breakfast buffet or order from the menu. Or visit the 1900 5th Bar Lounge for tasty bites or drinks while at the hotel.
The hotel itself is great as usual. My room has a fantastic view and nice amenities. Bathroom is getting a little dated but is still fine. Pillow's were not great but I'm picky about that. My biggest issue was no room service. At this point (November 2022) in the pandemic, not offering room service is laughable. I sincerely think it's just an excuse at this point. I won't stay here again (I come to Seattle often) until they have room service back.
