The Good: redemption of IHG points for a long weekend stay at average value. The location is good enough for walking to many tourist attractions. The room is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The Bad: charging “amenities fees” for virtually no amenities of which to speak. Elevator set up is bizarre at best. No umbrella in room. The bathroom is small as is the bath tub (what’s the point of having a bath tub if you can’t actually soak in it?). The shower head is terrible and sprays water everywhere. The Ugly: the on-site restaurant offers a limited menu of greasy breakfast options. Conclusion: Will not recommend.

Stayed one night for a show at Moore. Everything was perfection, the room, the restaurant and bar and the excellent service. The room was modern, clean and nice spacious bath. The many staff members we encountered were courteous and fun. Food was excellent. There’s not one thing I would change. Convenient location downtown Seattle with a great coffee shop across the street.

The hotel is located in the cbd, not far from the pike place market and its restaurants. Valet parking is available. I was not helped to take the luggages out of the car, because of staff "shortage". the rooms are "as expected" in a Monaco Kimpton, i.e. good; spacious, with iron+board, laundry service... The breakfast is served on the ground floor, but not each morning (staff shortage apparently here too)

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Seattle Monoco- All of the employees were incredibly helpful and friendly. I spoke with Leanne several times prior to arrival and she gave great recommendations of places to eat and explore while visiting. We were part of a soccer team from Salt Lake City. The evening happy hours were a very nice bonus! We had a wonderful team dinner the first night with Matt as our waiter and he did a phenomenal job navigating our huge crew! They also have a wonderful bar with excellent cocktails! The valet were very patient and accommodating with us getting our cars frequently for soccer games. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and quiet. I actually could not have asked for anything more!

We got hit with the Southwest airline cancellation debacle post xmas, so we couldn't make it to Seattle. Not only did we waste an entire day at the airport, but our 6 days planned in Seattle went up in smoke, as no flights were available the whole week. Tripadvisor worked with us to cancel our Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle reservation, and Kimpton agree to release us from our booking. Class acts all around - we appreciate your understanding, and will definitely be rebooking with Kimpton again soon.

Don’t bother staying at this hotel if you want any services whatsoever. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times including during the height of Covid. I’m also a 20 year Kimpton member. I understood during Covid that there was no room service, maid service etc.and their prices reflected the lack of service. The last time a stayed here in October I paid $450 per night and there was no room service, no maid service, the restaurant didn’t open till 5pm and was closed 3 days a week. This was my last ever stay with Kimpton.

The pillows are incredible. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. The happy hour was a nice touch. The lobby was also artfully done and the staff was kind despite being extremely busy. It was in a great location, too. Most things were within walking distance.

We had stayed at the Hotel Monaco several years ago and it was perfect, so we decided to go back, expecting the best. We were very disappointed. The front desk staff is extremely weak; they are disinterested, distracted and misinformed. We were there in August and were never notified that there would be no housekeeping. It was not on their website, nor was it conveyed at check in. The only way you find out is when you return to your room and it looks the same as when you left. We went with a group that was staying at a variety of other hotels in the area-many at lower rates. We were the only ones that had no housekeeping-Covid? I guess The Hotel Monaco held on to this excuse longer than its competitors. We have been recommending this hotel for years-never again. There are less expensive options in the area that give you a much better stay.

My stay at The Kimpton Hotel Monacol Seattle turned out to be far beyond what I would have imagined. Although I knew it was going to be great but this was a case where expectation not only was exceeded by realization, but was exceeded by significant levels. I have had the privilege of meeting many hotel ‘superstars’ but you and the Staff and Management of The Kimpton Hotel Monacol Seattle are in a singular category of excellence second to few, if any. BRAVO . . . you have taken the word “hospitality” to a higher new level way above anyone else. You are THE HOTEL OF CHOICE when anyone visits Seattle!

This hotel is located in a convenient part of downtown. We flew in to Sea-Tac and took the light link to the University Street station and it was a short walk to the hotel (uphill but it wasn't terrible). There's a Bartel Drugs a block over in case you forgot to pack something. Purple Cafe was a block in the other direction and it was a delicious dinner. I felt safe in the area and even though there's a $25 per night resort fee, there's quite a bit to choose from at the bodega where you get to use $15 of that $25 fee. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly, especially the doormen, who often asked if we needed help with anything or recommendations. We truly enjoyed our stay here.
