It is a great building in a perfect location, great architecture and vibe, however, it is impossible to sleep due to 2 things: poor quality of the bed and high levels of noise due to poor maintenance in the AC unit and pipelines, is not about the street, it is about the hotel. Not good service at all, I reported the situation and nothing happened, well I got points that honestly speaking I dont need it, what I need is to sleep well, at the Thompson is impossible.

We stayed at The Thompson for a 4-day weekend! What a beautiful hotel and the service was phenomenal. The location is fantastic. Near all the waterfront, Pike Public Market. The food in the hotel restaurants was generous and delicious. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are the best I have ever had at a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for business and pleasure.

Super location, great rooftop lounge, terrific amenities, excellent staff, good food, quick valet. Close to Pikes Market. My only complaint is the scent/fragrance/odor in the front lobby. I wish there was some way for others/owners/choice makers to understand how painful, triggering, and potentially debilitating some intense perfumes are for many people. I am all for a light scent to mask the odors of the day, but many of these "atomizers" seem to go way too far. I am grateful Covid made masks more acceptable to wear on a daily basis.

A housekeeper entered my room during my stay without knocking or announcing himself. When asked to leave, he insisted on providing turn down service. I had to tell him an additional 2 times to leave before he left. I grew scared during this encounter that he would not leave - I was alone. I talked with a manager about this incident who made excuses for this person citing cultural differences as the reason the man wouldn't leave my room. This was a totally unacceptable response from a manager.

If you’re looking for a quiet nights sleep in room 1211, look elsewhere. You can hear a lot of street noise (people yelling, etc), and can hear chair feet scraping on the floor from the bar above room

The Thompson was great, EXCEPT that the room we were in, room 707, has a wet wall that you could hear the water running down the pipes every time someone on a floor above flushed a toilet, ran the shower, used the sink, etc. very impactful on our sleep, I got up the first time to see if the bathroom was flooding the noise was that profound.

We made a last-minute booking on New Year's Eve through the reservation agent over the phone. During the booking process, we were informed that rooftop access would be available. However, upon check-in, we were informed that the rooftop access was closed due to a private event. Additionally, we specifically asked if the waterfront view room would provide a good view of the fireworks, but we were left disappointed as we couldn't see them as expected. Furthermore, we had paid for parking as part of our reservation, but at checkout, we discovered that an additional charge of $68 was applied. We sent an email to the Director and never heard back. Overall $600 for the night was definitely not worth it.
