We had the upstairs corner room, which was huge, immaculate and decorated tastefully. Although they no longer serve breakfast, they still had a toaster and microwave for guest use and the communal area had interesting antiques.

Chelsey, the hostess, was wonderful. She gave us plenty of info prior to our arrival, and when the wifi wasn't working well on the first night, she contacted the company and had it sorted for our 2nd day. She had prepared a huge information file in the room, with historical information on the property, as well as restaurant guides.

The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance to the airport and sites, yet far enough from the cruise ship crowd.

Highly recommended. We stayed in a number of hotels during our 2.5 week trip to Alaska and At The White House Inn was the best!

This lovely inn is a short walk to the restaurants and attractions in Skagway but just outside the historic district and therefore away from the hordes of cruise ship passengers. Immaculately clean, and beautifully appointed. As many others have said the innkeeper, Chelsea, is as friendly, accommodating, and helpful as can be. Highly recommended!!!

We came with friends and lots of children! You were so accommodating and lovely-the kids even got little Christmas presents on their beds! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely try to be back next year for the Santa Train. What a great event Skagway puts on. We're from Whitehorse and love coming to Skagway for a small get-away. The White House will be our go-to from now on. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Huge beautiful place, far better than a conventional B&B. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. Like staying in an antique colonial house you'd normally shuffle through on a guided tour. Easily walkable to main streets and to the pier. Friendly staff running the place off season. Skagway is like a ghost town off season, but thankfully this place was open and life, restaurants and shops can be found. Really enjoyed the drive and exploration of the Dyea Flats area by the Chilkoot Trailhead.

We stayed for 2 nights here and we had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood only a few walking minutes from the business section of town. Everyone here including the owner has been welcoming and so pleasant. Our room #208 is a basic historical B&B room but it is comfortable and it has all the amenities you need. We only wish that they would still offer breakfast because Skagway does not offer many sit down breakfast options.

Quiet at night and conveniently located two blocks off the main drag, At the Whitehouse as an excellent base to explore Skagway and the surrounding area. The spacious rooms were nicely appointed and included a workspace. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The common area includes a well stocked library of local fiction and non-fiction. Good showers and WiFi. Everything in town was an easy walk. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay at this inn. We stayed in a 1st floor room with a queen and king bed. There was sufficient room for 3 of us. The room was very clean and cute.
Chelsea is the best. She is a wonderful host and so helpful. She has drinks in the refrigerator in the lobby for $1.25.

While she doesn't serve breakfast, there is a toaster and microwave for guests to use. We bought breakfast food at the grocery store and took advantage of the microwave.

Easy to walk to main part of town and all of the restaurants and shops.

Would recommend this inn to anybody looking for lodging in Skagway.

Beautiful hotel situated in quieter part of town. Everything was first class! The owners/hosts were so welcoming and friendly! They were knowledgeable of the attractions in Skagway and gave us good information. We only spent a night, but we’d gladly return and spend more time there.

A charming place to stay in Skagway that was walking distance to the restaurants, shops and bars. It’s in a nice and quite part of town. The rooms were a good size with comfortable beds, a mini fridge, coffee machine and tv. The wifi struggles when everyone is on but no big deal. It would be nice if breakfast was an option included. Overall a great place to stay!

We spent one night in Skagway on our way from Whitehorse to Haines. Even before we left our home Chelsea was on top of things. She sent me all sorts of helpful information. We arrived on time, our room was ready and it was perfect. It was like staying at a friend's house. Bed was very comfortable, big bathroom and overall the inn was quiet (but full to capacity). I really enjoyed reading about the history of the home. Everything in Haines is walkable, so stay a little off the strip.and enjoy the tranquility.

All the rooms have private baths. All have toilet sink and shower, and 8 or the 9 have both bath tub and shower configurations. Sorry we didn't reply sooner. I just say the question.
