We came with friends and lots of children! You were so accommodating and lovely-the kids even got little Christmas presents on their beds! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely try to be back next year for the Santa Train. What a great event Skagway puts on. We're from Whitehorse and love coming to Skagway for a small get-away. The White House will be our go-to from now on. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Huge beautiful place, far better than a conventional B&B. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. Like staying in an antique colonial house you'd normally shuffle through on a guided tour. Easily walkable to main streets and to the pier. Friendly staff running the place off season. Skagway is like a ghost town off season, but thankfully this place was open and life, restaurants and shops can be found. Really enjoyed the drive and exploration of the Dyea Flats area by the Chilkoot Trailhead.

I had the most amazing stay at The White House. From the moment I walked in and smelled the homemade cookies to when I left the next morning for the Chilkoot trail, my visit was nothing but wonderful. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable and quiet. There was a lot of variety for breakfast and the coffee was excellent. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance of the main town. I would highly recommend staying “At the White House”.

Your kind words are appreciated. You can't go wrong when you come through a door and smell fresh baked cookies. And for the record, we credit Skagway's crisp clean drinking water for our coffee reviews more than anything else. As I am have mentioned in prior reviews, in the off-season the Bed & Bath rates do not include breakfast, but the coffee is on every morning and the cookie jar out every afternoon - year round. Our 2019 staff has really been top notch and seem to embrace Charles Schwab's philosophy, perhaps without even know it. "Lead the life that will make you kindly and friendly to everyone about you, and you will be surprised what a happy life you will lead."

A beautiful place....charming and cosy. The rooms all have private bathrooms, and the room I was in had a sloped ceiling and double aspect windows which added to the charm. The breakfast provided was lovely with lots of variety and the homemade muffins and cookies each day were a treat......and the staff were so lovely. It was a great place to stay and I would certainly go back.

Thank you for your thoughtful write up. Happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and we hope you come back again some day. Warm regards, John and Jan And I smile as I think of Joseph B. Wirthlin's words, " Kind words not only lift our spirits in the moment they are given, but they can linger with us over the years. Thank you again.

We stayed 2 nights here At The White House. The inn is beautiful and historic and very clean. The room was large spacious and comfortable. The Inn is located just 2 blocks from downtown close enough to walk there but far away enough to avoid the noise from cruise ship crowd. The breakfast was very good and gave you an opportunity to mingle with guest from all over the world. You can walk to any place in Skagway from the Inn. Highly recommended.

Thank you kindly for your gracious review. For future travelers, please know that our rooms vary in size and our off-season Bed & Bath rates do not include breakfast. But other than that, we are always walking distance to restaurants, always clean, and forever historic. And I must say, thank you again as I am reminded, not all of us are like Prince and can say, "I'm not one to get bad reviews."
