San Ramon is a lovely area only 45 minutes from the San José airport. Kim and David are wonderful hosts. They will pick you up at the airport and provide rides to town as needed so you don't really have to have a car. The casita we stayed in is perched on top of a hill and the views are...

The two bedroom bungalow we stayed in was a great place to stay. It had two private rooms and a living area between. The view was absolutely fantastic. It was not far from many great excursions. The only thing is that it the perfect place for two couples, except all of the seating is for three people. I would certainly...

We stayed here in early November on our way from SJO to Arenal because we knew we wouldn't make Arenal before dark. Such a beautiful location - we woke to stunning views over the landscape all the way to the Pacific. The B&B is made up of a couple of separate cottages and the owners' main house situated over dramatic...

An interesting trek to get there, but once you arrive, it is a view that you will never forget. Kim and David are incredible hosts who will spend endless time with you. The room was clean and comfortable with en suite bath. You have your own little private paradise.

We arrived at Vista Valverde during a rainstorm. The owners were wonderful and even offered to drive into town to get us dinner. The property was lovely and clean. I only wished that we had been able to stay a few more nights. The views were spectacular and the price was very reasonable. After chatting for a few hours before...

Great place owned by a Tico and American. Beautiful grounds and safe on the top of a hill. Kids could check out the grounds. Unbelievably good price for the quality of buildings. Believe me, they won't blow over - we came when there was a strong pacific wind. Just come during the day - easier to find. NOne of the...

We rented the family bungalow for our last night in Costa Rica. We picked this place because of the location. We had a 1pm flight out of San Jose and were traveling in from Monteverde, and didn't want to have to trek from Monteverde at 4am to get to the airport in time. So instead, we travelled 2.5 hours from...

While many places you might say, "the pictures were better", with Vista Valverde the opposite was true - the pictures only begin to capture how beautiful the Pacific view was. The guest how was very spacious for a group of 4 travelers. The enormous, breezy patio was the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Pacific. Breakfast also enjoys...

Thanks so much taking the time to write about your stay! I am glad you liked everything and yes - the tip about the directions cannot be said enough times! But folks will still call us bewildered as to why they can't drive up the cliff when google said so! jajaja. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us and...

Vista Valverde was the first stop off during my trip to Costa Rica. I was able to organise an airport pickup with considerable ease through booking.com. The pickup was $60 and the journey around an hour. David and his wife kindly gave us the option of a late check out due to our late flight. From the airport we were...

Be sure to find this place during the day if you don't have a gps that works or a phone. Once there, it's beautiful and the owners are very welcoming. The breakfast is fantastic and there are plenty of gardens to walk around.
