The Lovecka Basta is situated on the outskirts of Strakonice and is fairly new. More buildings are being constructed near the restaurant. Reception by a young lady inside the restaurant was very friendly and fast. As all double rooms had been sold, we had to book an apartment (we were given no. 12) which was very clean both inside and outside. There was a large terrace with chairs and sunbeds, and it was very quiet as other buildings were quite far away. Free parking was available right outside the house in a fenced-off area. As we stayed for one night only, we did not use much of the kitchen equipment, but everything looked fine. All modern amenities like AC, minibar, electric shutters etc. were available. There was a problem with the shower head which on being switched on turned upwards and sent the water towards a window and flooded part of the bathroom. The wireless worked without problems. There is a pool in one of the widely scattered buildings of the hotel, but we were not informed about its location on check-in and from the grounds map of the hotel (section C) it does not become clear that it is for use of all guests. Considering the claim of being a 4*-hotel breakfast was of average quality. All in all, the Lovecka Basta is a fine hotel and can be recommended the more so as room rates are appropriate.

Nice and tidy room with a beautiful garden. Nice breakfast but not very extensive. Restaurant serves good food and staff is friendly. The sound insulation of the room could be better, but it was not really a nuisance during my stay. The hotel is located just outside the city center and near a wooded area. The room had carpet, which is not ideal for people with allergies, but this did not bother me.

This is a little hidden gem away from the main town precinct and in a quiet nice location. Good sized suites with separate lounge and bedroom, clean neat, modern and functional. Good working A/C, Wi Fi and a nice setting and grounds. Flat screen TV only no English channels. Such a relief after several days of heat and rooms with no A/C this was a treat. We also dined onsite at the wonderful quirky restaurant.

Nice meal, but absolutely the most terrible staff i've ever seen in my life. When politely asking a waiter that was passing by our table for some more drink I was admonished for impolite shouting over the restaurant. When paying 0 tips and explaining why, I was assured of my impoliteness. My friend regretted himself for paying any tips.

Restaurant: food is relatively good but just good, not awesome, great or remarkable in any respect. The wine selection is poor and so is the quality (tried Gruener Veltliner which turned out an unusually bad - probably a cheap one). The problem is the service - the serveuses are inexperienced, inattentive and totally not knowledgeable about the food they offer. Also, incredibly slow - waited twenty minutes just to get the bill to no avail, so I had to just go to the register to pay. No apology from them or anything. All that comes with quite of a price-tag (for Czechia of course) - you will definitely find better places in the area.

If you are lucky to get the newly decorated rooms at block "F" then you will truly enjoy your stay at Lovecka basta :) I'll rate 4 stars only because the receptionists do not speak English very well - some of them do not speak English at all.

This is a very peaceful Hotel with a really nice restaurant. It is located in the countryside. My room was very spacious. Dinner at the restaurant was yummy. Free WiFi. Free Parking area right in front of the main entrance.

I have been invited for a business lunch into this restaurant. The recommendation was easy - good selection of game specials. If found staff very helpful, they knew everything about their meal and are able to help you with selection of side dish. Every meal we had looked tasty and so it was. This restaurant is good choice of any occasion.

7 bikers on tour here for one night's excellent stay. Attentive staff spoke good English and made us very welcome after a 200 mile ride. Super quality rooms and lovely evening meal and breakfast. All at very good prices. The best hotel in our 7 day trip.
