It was terrific! I only gave a 4 because the hot tub was unavailable due to annual maintenance. The staff upgraded us when the TV didn’t work and there was a coin laundry that was helpful to us as boat owners.

Hotel's Favorite
We spent 2 weeks in Alaska and drove down from Anchorage to start our vacation in Seward. We stayed here to do wildlife and glacier viewing trips as well as a helicopter trip that landed on a glacier. When we arrived the GM Kyle checked us in and he was extremely nice, friendly and a wealth of knowledge for the local area. Throughout our stay Daniel was the front desk person in the afternoons and early evenings. He was always super nice and friendly and had awesome suggestions for out-of-the-way dinner locations. We had our best dinners at non-tourist locations and you could walk right in to eat at 6 PM with no wait unlike places very close that might have a 2 hour wait. Daniel always had a great personality and eager to help us and assist us in anyway to make our vacation as great as possible. We were in a 3rd floor balcony room and we’re very pleased with the size of the room and the balcony. Unfortunately in August it pretty much rains the entire time but it was nice to have the balcony and the availability to go outside and to open the door for fresh air. The rain did not deter us from all of our excursions and we had a great time in Seward both on our boat trips and getting in a helicopter flight between rain. We enjoyed this property which is at the same location as the Major Marine Tours company which has the boats that are out front of the hotel and the ones that took us on our wildlife and glacier touring excursions. Breakfast was buffet style and was good. We grabbed the food we wanted to take back to the room each morning since the lobby area is quite busy with many people loading up for different boat trips. We look forward to going back to Seward, possibly in a different month, and staying here again.

Perfect accommodations! Warm and friendly staff! We had a room with a view of the harbor and a small balcony. It was the perfect way to wake up and enjoy our coffee. Continental breakfast was great too! Overall a great experience! Highly recommend!

It's the best hotel in Seward. But that's not saying much. Close to dock for cruise ship. We had bad weather couldn't sit on deck. Room was okay. Elevator broke. Not the cleanest. My opinion Seward is a dump was disappointed with town l.

Lovely place to stay! Some newer, more modern updates would be nice but it was still a great spot and clean. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. The only thing I didnt like is they didnt clean our room during our stay. Lots of trash from takeout and what not, that was really my only annoyance. We took the cruise that leaves right from the hotel and we're so glad we did! The cruise was great! So comfortable, lots of snacks and friendly service. It was so convenient to leave right from the hotel. We walked to get pizza across the street for dinner one night, and there were plenty of shops and places to eat within a few minutes walk. Safeway is right up the road, which was nice because I needed to visit the pharmacy and we wanted a case of water. All in all, great stay!

Location is ideal for both the Cruise Dock and the Alaska Railroad terminal in Seward (literally a two minute walk). Free baggage transfer from the train to the cruise ship is a real bonus making the experience simple and stress free. Hotel staff are friendly and go out of their way to provide every assistance. Rooms are competitively priced and much larger and more comfortable than most moderately priced lodging. Will definitely try to use again on our next Alaskan adventure.

Great place with friendly staff and a good breakfast. Clean rooms and awesome views of the harbor. There is a pool for the kiddos and very comfortable rooms and great location in town. The continental breakfast is a big win.

Great visit. Perfect for the Cruise terminal. Might be better with more shuttle times to the cruise terminal. Otherwise very helpful staff and very clean and modern hotel. We would recommend and stay again.

Great place to stay and a perfect location. This hotel was so easy to walk to right off the train. The breakfast was simple but adequate and all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a cruise right there at the hotel and all the hotel recommended restaurants were excellent.

Everything was clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was excellent and a highlight of my visit. Sitting in a clean dining room having a good cup of coffee enjoying my view of the beautiful mountains and harbor then enjoying that delicious breakfast. Wonderful way to start the day! And I normally don't eat breakfast! Very very pleased with my stay!
