We spent 2 weeks in Alaska and drove down from Anchorage to start our vacation in Seward. We stayed here to do wildlife and glacier viewing trips as well as a helicopter trip that landed on a glacier.

When we arrived the GM Kyle checked us in and he was extremely nice, friendly and a wealth of knowledge for the local area. Throughout our stay Daniel was the front desk person in the afternoons and early evenings. He was always super nice and friendly and had awesome suggestions for out-of-the-way dinner locations. We had our best dinners at non-tourist locations and you could walk right in to eat at 6 PM with no wait unlike places very close that might have a 2 hour wait. Daniel always had a great personality and eager to help us and assist us in anyway to make our vacation as great as possible.

We were in a 3rd floor balcony room and we’re very pleased with the size of the room and the balcony.

Unfortunately in August it pretty much rains the entire time but it was nice to have the balcony and the availability to go outside and to open the door for fresh air. The rain did not deter us from all of our excursions and we had a great time in Seward both on our boat trips and getting in a helicopter flight between rain.

We enjoyed this property which is at the same location as the Major Marine Tours company which has the boats that are out front of the hotel and the ones that took us on our wildlife and glacier touring excursions.

Breakfast was buffet style and was good. We grabbed the food we wanted to take back to the room each morning since the lobby area is quite busy with many people loading up for different boat trips.

We look forward to going back to Seward, possibly in a different month, and staying here again.

The most expensive in Seward, the Harbor 360 hotel is conveniently located right on the harbor when you get into down town Seward. In walking distance to a lot of dining choices from sit down restaurants to grab n go. Parking is tight and limited on busy summer nights however there is a paid parking lot across the street and I believe the hotel comps its guests when they need to park there. Check in was a breeze with no unexpected issues. Hotel staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help guests with anything they might need. All main areas of the hotel are kept clean and tidy, there are no weird smells. The hotel rooms themselves are also clean and tidy. The harbor side rooms have amazing views. The continental breakfast is slightly above the average cearal, muffins, coffee, and juice one expects from a hotel breakfast. They also have things like yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cheese omelets, and pancakes. I would have liked to see some fresh fruit.

This hotel is the only hotel with a pool in Seward. We did visit the pool during our stay. The pool is small and both the pool and hot tub are over crowded with kids screaming, splashing, and likely peeing. I would stay away if that doesnt sound like fun.

The rooms themselves are decently sized. TV is small and not a smart tv so no Netflix. The beds are a little disappointing as well, they are not as big and soft as I would like. I should mention the hotel was under renovation while I was there and I did stay in one of their older rooms so maybe the updated rooms have bigger TVs and nicer beds. The shower was great until it wasn't. I suggest not taking a shower between 8-9am when everyone else is likely to be because you might end up with a lukewarm shower that turns cold abruptly like it did for me. Showering at any other time there was ample hot water.

Checkout was quick and easy however the lady checking me out assumed I would be using the card I used to hold the room and didnt ask. When she said I was all checked out I told her I wanted to pay with cash. She was easily able to fix that and I paid with cash. However she failed to tell me the money for the room was already held against my card and that is would be 2 days until it dropped off my card. Maybe that is common knowledge for most but it was annoying to find that out after I left, knowing had she just asked if I planned on using the card on file it all could have been avoided.

From the time I called to make our reservation, we received excellent customer service. The agent thoroughly answered all my questions. I was accidentally charged the adult rate for 2 of my kids and the error was quickly corrected & my card refunded.
The breakfast hostess made omelettes & breakfast sandwiches for us and kept the area stocked & clean, which was important during Covid.
We loved the little library in the lobby.
This is a great place to stay

Visiting Seward or Kenai Fjords National Park? This is the place to stay. Amazing harbor views and a quick drive to everything in town. Marine Tour reservation desk in the lobby. Free breakfast included hot sandwiches wrapped in foil for COVID safety and no-touch buffet style for the other options.

The hotel was a nice place to stay. I think we had a handicapped room (#111) since the floor was not carpeted and there was no tub- just a shower stall. The only issue with our room was it was 89 degrees when we first arrived. I turned down the heat and it was 68 degrees by the morning. The shower was nice. The only thing I would advise is that they add conditioner and lotion especially since there is a pool (there were only European style shampoo and bodywash). The 2-1 shampoo/conditioners don't work either in my opinion. The pool was small, but clean and relaxing. The jacuzzi is nice and hot too! There are no microwaves in the rooms (they are at the ice and snack stations. After thinking about it for a while, I am okay with that because I do not use the microwaves at hotels too often (although I did this stay). There are mini fridges in the rooms though. The buffet style breakfast was great, although they had "run out of gravy" for the day and I would have really liked that with the biscuits. You have to look around, but there is a lot to eat. I found chopped fruit in the fridge on a narrow shelf between the yogurt and boiled eggs. The lobby area is cozy with some books out to read. It is fun to walk around the harbor behind the hotel.

Hotel 360 is my family’s go to place to stay in Seward as we visit several times a year. Our most recent December trip to Seward was filled with pleasant surprises-the rooms have been refreshed and are thoughtfully updated. We appreciated the charging cords for electronics in the rooms just in case a phone charger is forgotten. The pool is now a salt water pool. We noticed a great deal of sea life activity in the harbor since the harbor is calmer in winter, so our harbor view room was a delightful spot in watching many sea lions, otters, and sea birds swimming right in front of our hotel room window.

The hotel was clean and tidy, however, the level of noise and chaos we experienced at this hotel was a disappointment. The walls are paper thin—we could easily hear the conversation from our neighbors. We had to sleep with the fan on high to drown out all the noises. During our three day stay, the hotel was fully booked and there were loads of children which added to the noise and chaos——running in the halls, crying, etc. Breakfast was a zoo—-packed with people. Unfortunately the breakfast room is also the entrance to the Major Marine tours so there were a lot of people in that area heading out for tours. Made us nervous during COVID, so decided to eat in our room. The view is great and you can walk anywhere from the hotel. But, we probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the level of noise.

We had an excellent stay here! Shelby at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Seward. The property is beautifully maintained and although we didn’t use the pool it was nice to know they drain and clean it often.

We stayed for night in April 2022, the front desk were professional and polite when we asked to move rooms.
our initial room was great, but was on the second floor and the guests above us were noisy, and this was in the afternoon, we asked to move to the third floor, they accommodated us immediately with no questions.
Our room was one of the cleanest rooms that we had stayed in on our Alaska trip and that includes some of the big name hotels in Anchorage, beautiful view and the breakfast was great too.

Thoroughly recommend a harbor view room on the third floor with a balcony - amazing.

Also take full advantage of the daily cruises, you get a discount if you book a hotel room and a cruise.
We will definitely return.

I booked since it was walking distance to Kanai Fjords Tour and a TA Travelers Choice, I wasn’t disappointed. Mid Sept. 2 night stay reserved a balcony room was definitely worth the extra cost even having to wear coat and hat, the views are great, wife saw puffins from deck. 3rd floor king room was spotless and everything worked. Found it easier to use the stairs over waiting for single elevator, the hotel side entrances require keycodes for security. Laundry room and ice machine second floor the ice buckets are next to machine.

Breakfast was plentiful and staff great at keeping everything filled, the pancake maker is pretty neat. We likes Rays Waterfront restaurant (1 minute walk) so much we ate there both nights get table by windows. Beer and wine across the street at gas station. Exit Glacier short ride make sure you stop there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Do you have laundromat? How much to do laundry?
Answer from Lindsay M
Hi Becky, Thank you for your interest in Harbor 360 Hotel! We have 3 washers and 4 dryers available on the 2nd floor of our property. The cost is $3.00 per load.
Answer from Lindsay M
Hello, We offer a shuttle from the train station to the hotel, however it is only about a 100 yard walk. Some people find it faster to walk to the hotel on their own, while others choose the shuttle service to help with their bags. It is totally up to your group, but we will be there for you if needed! Harbor 360 also offers a complimentary shuttle to the cruise ship terminal. It is a walkable distance, but with luggage in tow, we are more than happy to assist our guests. We are excited to have you stay with us this summer!
