Unfortunately we did not get one of the renovated rooms, which look nice on the website. Our room was definitely tired looking and creaky, but everything was functional. The harbor view with mountains in the background was great. Breakfast was excellent and the convenience of walking down for the fjord cruise cannot be overstated. We spent 3 nights, and enjoyed the area. Hopefully all the rooms will be renovated soon, making this a great choice in Seward. Also, you get a discount with Major Marine cruises if you stay here. Highly recommend the 6 hr Fjord cruise.

Hotel's Favorite
Have stayed here twice on our last two trips to Seward. The views of the marina are fantastic. The rooms were spotless and the bathrooms are very large. This hotel is a very good value for the rate. They have adapted their breakfast to be very covid friendly. Mostly it is the service that is great. The people here have been so friendly! They seem genuinely happy to work at this hotel and they should be proud of what they are doing. Highly reccomend for familes as well. On our first stay the kids had a blast at the pool.

For the price, I expected a nice view, but we had a view of the parking lot. Still, everything was clean. The room had two double beds and a refrigerator. It was convenient for the tour as the Marine tours leave and return to the lobby of this hotel. Also, our fishing trip was 5 minutes away, which was great for a 6 am start time. The hotel had a small pool that was very shallow (couldn't actually swim in it unless you were a child). The hot tub is nice. They were very helpful in the morning since we were leaving before breakfast actually started. The woman setting up allowed us to grab a few things and go. Very clean hotel with great service. This would not be exciting in the lower 48, but it was one of the nicest places we stayed in Alaska. I'm still not sure it was worth the price because of the lack of a view.

Stayed one evening, on our way to Kenai Fjords Lodge. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and neat. The small lobby gets a little hectic because tour boats use the hotel dock. But, for the price, this was a good deal.
