I found myself needing a place for a few months and Sarah, the manager, made me feel like I was at home. I love the location and the price. The people that own it are amazing, and treated me like family. They have a dog there, and after coming home from working long hours, it was a real treat to... More

I did not like this room for the following reasons - the “window” looks at a concrete wall with a bear and an eagle painted on it. The loft is very uncomfortable. The “mattresses” are short, but the worst part is it is so stuffy up there because air does not get up there. The room is just too small... More

We booked it on booking.com as family room with two double beds. The room was literally 8 feet by 8 feet with one bed. Then there was an alcove with a ladder (literally 2 feet high) where there was a mattress thrown on the floor. But since we had place to sleep, we did not much care anyway. What really... More

Easy to find Inn near the "downtown" area of Seward. Very close to restaurants, bars, and the brewery. Seemed a bit older and decor/amenities were getting outdated. Bed was very firm, but still slept well. Free wifi and all rooms had a loft area that would be perfect for younger children (or young at heart adults). Breakfast was good, with... More

I believe the place was not designed nor build to be an hotel. That said, we spent one night at Swan Inn and everything was perfect. Nice people, clean room, very good continental breakfast (with possibility to "upgrade" to a full breakfast for just 5 bucks). We wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed 2N in a Bayview room. Room had a queen size bed and a loft bed. The room was a tight squeeze with 3 of us plus our luggage. The bathroom area is small too. Other than the size of the room, we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast provided was a simple one and one could paid a... More

This building was not built to be a hotel, which makes it different than the other hotels we stayed at in Alaska. The rooms are tiny! Think NYC Times square area. Other than the room size, everything was fantastic. Our host had a great breakfast available to us every morning, the coffee was good, the beds were comfortable, everything was... More

Pros: This place is a short walking distance to the waterfront, harbor, shops & restaurants. Our window faced the harbor and sea life center. We were checked in by a friendly woman, and never saw her again. They arranged a discounted day cruise for us before we even arrived. Breakfast was fresh baked cranberry bread and fruit. They allow dogs.... More

Tom met us at the more visible location, and then took us to A Swan Nest. The room worked, but was very small. Spartan, but with a generous spirit. I don't think we would stay there again, but it was a good choice for the night.

This is a nice, old building that has been converted into a hotel. The location is great, within walking distance of shops & restaurants and the marine center. Our room was right off the common area, but fortunately there was no noise from the other guests. My only complaint is that the pillows were flat.
