If you are on the fence about staying here, don’t think twice and book it ASAP! It’s about a 5min scenic drive from downtown Seward and right next to some campgrounds at Millers Landing. If you can book one of the cabins on the bay it is worth every penny! We stayed in the wing cabin and it was perfect. We would sit out on the back deck every night and watch the otters swim by and the resident bald eagle swoop down and get it’s dinner like clockwork each night around 9pm. During low tide you can walk on the beach (be carful the rocks and the kelp can be slippery) and during high tide it feels like your cabin is right on the water! It was our favorite stay on our trip and if/when we make the trip back to Seward in the future we will definitely be staying here again.
For my first time in Alaska, first time in Seward and first time at Lowell Point, I was absolutely charmed by Angels Rest. I came with my travel buddy, Stephanie and we were so happy to have a place that shows all the care you've put into it. Our cabin was just across the road from the beach, we were snuggled in the woods with a pretty view and everything was well thought out as to what a traveler needs. I loved wandering around the garden and visiting the chickens. I'm a big admirer of the silhouette shingle work done on all the buildings. Again, such thoughtful detail! I will definitely be back. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay.
I had the an amazing stay at Angels Rest. It is a slice of heaven and honestly so far my favorite place I’ve stayed in Alaska. The cabin is filled with special little things and everything you can think of to make you have a great stay. It is super clean and the bed is so cozy ! Lynda & Paul go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for you. The view is incredible- May be the best view in Seward. 100% book here. We stayed in Wing cabin. Other ones to stay with a great view are Gatehouse & Cloud 9. Hope to be back soon!
We did not want to leave! We wish we could live there. The view was AMAZING! Although we didn't personally see whales from the window, we noticed in the guest book that someone who stayed in June did! We saw plenty of other wildlife though. Before the end of our trip it felt like home. We plan to go back someday.
We made a reservation with Angels Rest in October 2019, for August 19th, 2020. They charged the entire amount on our card, not just the deposit. We called to cancel on April, 30th 2020 due to the Covid situation and they refused to refund our money and not honor their 90 day cancellation policy. Buyer beware!
