We had a large group staying in two rooms. There were 4 beds in each room. One bed had no bedding and we asked the manager for an extra set and he said "twenty bucks." At first we thought he was joking, but he wasn't! Unreal! The rooms weren't exactly clean nor comfortable. I would book somewhere else in Seward.

This is a great place if you want a clean room, comfortable bed and a shower. The place is small. I assume an old military housing unit. The location is in a few blocks of restaurants, bars, espresso and shopping. The owner is a friendly and interesting character. If you want big Hotel amenities this is not the place for... More

This hotel was the 1933 USO building and therefore historic. It is run by a very nice gentleman and his wife. The efficiency apartments are a bit quirky but worked well. Just remember, Alaska is a rough place. The best part is, that for Alaska prices, this is affordable and centrally located in Seward and easy to find. It is... More

For starters the wifi password doesn't work and the bathroom is small and cramped. And this is supposedly a nonsmoking hotel but the rooms and courtyard clearly smell of cigarettes. Half of the buildings are falling apart and the other half are decent. Over all I would not recommend this hotel.

Centrally located in Seward, this place is very convenient. Basic yet comfortable clean beds and bathroom is big, clean and functional. Kitchen is good too. James was very friendly and room service was done daily. The only reason to rate it 4 is the blinds and some of the dishes (baking tray) were very dirty. But who cares! Not there... More

This is not your "they all look alike inside" type of place. It has a homey, rustic feel. The owner lives on site and is very nice and hospitable. He even offered our family group of 11 the use of his barbecue so we could fix our own dinner and enjoy the picnic tables on the lawn. The kitchens are... More

At one time this had been a military barracks, from what I was told, and has a very local feel to it.. It is not your average cookie-cutter motel. We found this place after being priced out of every other property. Initially reluctant to stay here, but after inspection, found it was exactly what we needed. Our unit had a... More

My friends and I spent one night at this place. Our bedroom was bigger than we had expected; it had a kitchen and dining area. The owner was very nice and kind. It's kind of a rustic place, but we didn't need anything luxurious. Good option if you just want to rest after a long hiking day.

Top location in Seward. Walking distance to laundromat, shopping, dining and Sealife Center. Not fancy but James the manager really cares and the rooms have full kitchens so you can cook your catch. This is the place in Seward for basic functional accommodations.
