What a find! We stayed in the lower barn unit. It was wonderful. Roomy, clean, comfortable, and well stocked, they have thought of everything. After a day out, it was so comfortable to come back 'home' to grab some hot tea from the kitchen and sit by the bay relaxing with an amazing view. Kendall was a great host and fun to chat with. He and Michelle have thought of everything. The ladies in the kitchen provided a wonderful breakfast each morning and with the porch heaters and blankets, we could enjoy breakfast outside, taking in the views some more. Without a doubt, next time we are in Seward, we will be staying here.

I stayed at Resurrection Lodge for three days with an 18 person tour group. Our accommodations were wonderful, each with a unique aspect. One couple had a yurt, a family was given a large cabin with a front deck, the solo travelers shared a 3 bedroom 3 bath suite and all of our rooms had a view of the water. The rooms were appointed modestly but comfortably with good bedding and sweet rustic touches. There was a large covered deck with heaters that we commandeered for happy hour and a lodge kitchen for breakfasts. There was a guest laundry facility at a ridiculously low cost with soap and dryer sheets kindly provided. There were pastries out in the kitchen and a cooler of free drinks from previous guests was made available to the new ones. What made this stay really special, however, was the in person care and attention the owners, Michelle and Kendall, put into our visit. Every need was met gracefully, from in room coffee and forgotten toiletries to picking up a medical device on a trip to Anchorage. We enjoyed chatting with them, meeting their daughter and dog and having them share with us their enthusiasm and joy about living in this gorgeous place.

We were fortunate to stay four nights here (was supposed to be three, but since cruise was cancelled, extended another day). Stayed in Bayview suite with small kitchen and separate bedroom. Bay style windows gave us beautiful view out over the deck and to the bay with the mountains in the background. Breakfast was served buffet style, with the cook serving portions. It was good, but got tiring with the same thing for four mornings in a row. Really good coffee, which was great since our coffee machine in the unit did not work. Was asked if we wanted it replaced when reported, but opted for their good coffee which was always available in the community kitchen instead. Our suite had kind of a strange set up with bedroom/bathroom, with tiny sink separate from bathroom, actually being in the bedroom. Be prepared for absolutely NO storage in the bedroom and tiny bathroom. If I could make a suggestion...do away with half of the huge decorative pillows, which take up too much room in the unit...I counted 13 of them.
Instead invest in simple shelving along the wall in the bedroom to be able to store things, which would help a lot. Would stay here again if in the area.

Patricia thanks for the feedback, yes some our rooms are a little quirky and some things we can't change ( the small bathrooms, some have sinks in room area) you stayed in our Bayview with the kitchen which is the only room that doesn't have a closet for storage but what it does have is a full kitchen and living area that only one other room has in our lodge. We do have on our list shelving for the sink areas. We also encourage feedback because it helps us provide a better experience staying at our lodge.

The Resurrection Lodge is in a great location right on the bay away from the main town of Seward. It is back a rather rough gravel road and very close to a nice trail head for hiking. Our hosts were extremely well organized and helpful in advising use where to eat and hike. Breakfast was very good and served in generous portions.
Resurrection Bay and the mountains around it are amazingly attractive, clouds or sun, and this lodge is in a great place to see them.

Came here for the first time this past June. Kendall was awesome with our back and forth communication as we had to be mindful of the landslide they had on the only road going into the lodge. Luckily we timed everything right etc..
This place had amazing views of the bay. Sat out on the deck each morning to eat breakfast, watch the sea otters float by and the amazing mountain view right in front of us. Deck had outdoor heaters we could turn on and make us comfortable when needed. Good variety of food every morning, hot and cold, coffee and great hospitality.
Offered a great free (included in stay) breakfast each morning, We stayed at one of the cabins which was comfy, clean and very accommodating. Luckily we had a rental car and could drive in town and around. It is a little ways from town but i didnt think it was bad at all. Maybe a 5-10 min drive to town possibly.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Such a delightful place to stay! We were here two nights at the beginning of June and it is so peaceful, the view is spectacular and Ken and Michelle are wonderful lodge owners.
Don’t sleep on breakfast! There’s not many options in town and they give you a bunch of solid options.
Absolutely recommend, would 100% stay there again.
The rooms have fridges so do yourself a favor and stop at the grocery store on your way into town so you don’t have to rely on the places in town.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, and my only regret is that it was only one night. We took the Coastal Classic train from Anchorage to Seward and decided to stay for the night. The owners and their team members offer true service and hospitality, and creating memories is clearly their a cornerstone of their mission.
We booked at the last minute, and the property owners were very truthful and informed us that the only room available had no view of the water. It was a very clean and comfortable room, and the free breakfast was delicious! The talented cook is a graduate student in Geology, and he was amazing at sharing facts and stories about the area, including facts about the volcanic and earthquake activity in the area.
The resort is on an absolutely gorgeous stretch of the Bay, and the view of the mountains is simply breathtaking. I was able to walk on the rocky beach during low tide, and it was incredibly calm and peaceful away from all the tourists in the city.
The owner was really incredible and provided transportation for us to go in and out of town three different times. I would recommend that you drive or bring a rental car, as this is an incredibly beautiful area that is ripe for exploration. I would highly recommend that you make reservations now for 2021 or 2022, as the rooms fill up very quickly, and they are only open for the summer season through mid to late September.

My husband and I stayed one night here at the lodge and I regret that we hadn’t booked a longer stay! We had one of the top floor superior king rooms, which was generously spacious with large windows overlooking the bay and mountains behind. The location is perfection, a mere 7 minute drive from the town of Seward but you feel distant enough to connect with the sea and the view. Wading boots are provided if you’re wanting to venture into the water. Breakfast is included and is a generous buffet spread. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit and will be dreaming of this little slice of heaven right on the water.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and were planning to stay at a local hotel. We found the Resurrection Lodge and wanted something more private than a hotel during Covid. We got to Room 7 which has one of the best views in a room that I’ve ever stayed. We did a nice 3 mile hike which is within walking distance to the Lodge. The breakfast in the morning was a very nice eggs, hash browns, breads and juice. We sat on the common covered patio and chatted it up w other guests. The king beds are comfortable. The bathroom is on the small side but you simply cannot beat the views. We had one clear day and one day where it rained all day. We played cards under the heat lamp in the rain. Very peaceful stay.

What I enjoyed most about this lodge was that it had a wonderful scenic view that all our other stays in Alaska cabins did not have as they were right on the highway. We had a lovely room with two king size beds. The bathrooms are very small but that wasn’t a problem for us. Breakfast is the standard Fairfield Inn type fare but nice to have as we left for tours early most days and it was nice to have it available at 7:00 am. Cookies are laid out every afternoon. The owners are extremely nice and helped out right away when I needed foam pillows versus feather. We enjoyed walking on the beach at low tide and observing otters from the deck. Seward is a great small town and was a great jumping off point for Kenai adventures.

Hi, There is a coffee maker in the Deluxe bayview with Kitchen but not in the other that doesn't have a kitchen. Our lodge kitchen is open from 6am to 7pm daily with hot tea, coffee and cookies for your pleasure.
Thanks, Kendall
Sorry, somehow we missed this question but looks like everyone answered it. But yes , we do have a shuttle, Its free for us to pick you up at your arrival point ( bus, train, cruise) and free to drop you off at your departure point. We operate the shuttle till 6pm then taxi service is available. ( no uber or lyft) We do charge a $15 transport fee per trip with no maximum riders. Seward operates a shuttle bus service that is free and goes from the downtown area to the small boat harbor and cruise port and everywhere in between. For more info check out our website and look for the Q & A tab. Thanks! Kendall
The standard rooms do not have a view and all rooms have Tv, microwave and mini fridge, so units and kitchenettes or full kitchens
