My dad and I stayed in Cabin #4 for one night. It was supposed to be two nights, but the front end of our plans got messed up by weather. After seeing my name on the chalk board outside the door (great personal touch!!) and opening the door to this beautifully appointed little cabin, I wished we could have had more time there! Don't delay, book these cabins. Minutes from Seward, SUPER quiet wooded setting, and everything inside our cabin was perfect. Comfortable beds, spotless bathroom, everything you need. LOVED IT!
We really enjoyed our stay in these cabins. We liked the rustic decor, and they’re located in a quiet area not far from town. Very nice friendly owner who lives onsite as well. The small building on site with shared laundry facilities has DVDs you can borrow at no cost, as well as plates, cups, napkins, bug spray and just about anything else you may have forgotten. This was the second time we stayed here (the first was in 2003), and we’ll stay here again if we’re ever back in the area!
I stayed in Cabin 4 for four nights. What a beautiful place to call home for my visit to Seward! The cabin is like a small apartment for two people; it could definitely fit 3 comfortably. The refrigerator and microwave make it easy to buy food from the Safeway supermarket down the road to feed yourself on the cheap as a visitor for a few days (no stove or oven though). The bathroom is very nice, though the cabin runs off a very small electric hot water heater, so two people taking back-to-back showers will leave you out of hot water quickly. The whole place is also very quiet. I highly recommend staying here!
Perfect location just outside of Seward, 5 minute drive. Great set up, everything we needed, comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, glacier water table makes for terrific drinking water. The cabin beds were very comfortable and the place was spotless. Came complete with a super friendly, extremely well trained dog, Ruger. Jim, the owner, came by each day to check on us, offering guidance/recommendations on anything we had questions about. The kitchenette had a nice table, chairs, microwave, coffee pot with coffee and tea supplied, kitchen towel and wash cloth, knife, cutting board, large bowl, nice size mini fridge (about 3 feet tall) with a small freezer. On the deck there is a Weber grill, but with the burn ban we couldn’t use it. We could use my son’s small camp stove (something you could turn off as soon as you were done cooking to avoid more forest fires). The bathroom had towels, washcloths, shampoo/body wash, hand soap and toilet paper. The view from the window is beautiful too. We were extremely happy we stayed here and would highly recommend it. …
Week and a half on the road Mary just had to have a shower so last minute called the first cabin that popped up in the google search. We lucked out they had room for us. When we pulled up to our very cute two story hand crafted cabin we were extremely pleased. I didn’t have high expectations for the low price we paid. Pulling into the drive noticed our names on the front of the cabin made us smile for sure. Had all sorts of items that made our night nice like a microwave, and a old dog sitting on our porch...felt like home:) the family that owned it was super pleasant. There was a shower, laundry, and it was very clean. Would go again. Only downside was a small water heater so make sure you take the first shower.
