Great location in centre of town. Comfortable and well priced accommodation. Very disappointed with the service in bar / restaurant. People go in the bar / restaurant to have a good experience - not to feel in the way or unwelcome. The young waitress should exude much more happiness than she does. If you are in a job you do not enjoy, you should move on. Everything seemed to much trouble and without doubt cost the hotel / restaurant money in additional takings that could have been taken. Hopefully these comments are taken as being constructive and that I can see improvements on our next visit.
Visited on january in a really cold evening. Few guest so really quiet room and gentle atmoshere....even the bar closecat 9.00 p.m. Really strange for a bar. Ciurresy of the staff...the lady with red hears teached me how to pay the park in front of the hotel at minus 9 degree... Really kind. Breakfast ok
Old place that desperately needs updating. There were barely any electric plugs, no bar soap (only liquid), and a dark dark room. There were no blackout curtains so the light came in early and at night on the square outside. However it was quiet. The breakfast had eggs, but not fresh eggs, they were made from some type of powder or bag mixture. The meat was ok. The bar staff at night was peculiar to a single woman. They made me drink in the restaurant instead of the bar. Very strange. Overpriced massage.
There’s nothing wrong with this hotel - it’s nicely central, the showers work in a very small bathroom and the beds are OK. The pillows are huge but lumpy (but as we’ve also experienced this before can only presume this is a local pillow style). Breakfast was good and the reception helpful.
This hotel boasts a superb location in the heart of town (a short walk to the famous castle) and an excellent, traditional restaurant which served the best food of my trip. Oddly, the hotel rooms are worn and dated. Furniture and shower had a patched-up quality. The towels were very thin and felt like sandpaper. Most disappointing was the Front Desk. The evening to overnight young lady with glasses called me a half hour later than my wakeup call was requested (with no apology). Bring your own alarm clock and hope for the best! Overall, a disappointing stay.
