Nice hotel right on the town square. Easy walks to shops and restaurants, very good breakfast. Bicycle storage on site was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel as a good value in the medium price rance.

This hotel boasts a superb location in the heart of town (a short walk to the famous castle) and an excellent, traditional restaurant which served the best food of my trip. Oddly, the hotel rooms are worn and dated. Furniture and shower had a patched-up quality. The towels were very thin and felt like sandpaper. Most disappointing was the Front Desk. The evening to overnight young lady with glasses called me a half hour later than my wakeup call was requested (with no apology). Bring your own alarm clock and hope for the best! Overall, a disappointing stay.

Th recpetion was very kind and helpfull. We had a good 2 days there. The food in the hotel restaurant is also quite good. The hotel is very central, basically everything is close from there.
The room was not the biggest, but it was clean. Beds were also soft
We booked a massage at the hotel and this was really nice as well.

We would definately consider returning there.

The location is excellent, parking available. The rooms are quite spacious but the furniture, e.g. the storage spaces inadequate, the floor lamp out of order, the bed lamps in inadequate position, the safe out of order, no hotel guide book in the room. No climatisation so that the summer night with open window in the room situated into the inner courtyard was a nightmare: the windows are so close together so that one shares all the voices and sounds from all other courtyard rooms. Not pleasant at all! The wc and bathroom clean. The kitchen on a very medium level, the waiters kind, the reception desk rather cold. So as for us an experience that will be not repeated again.

Hotel Concertino was a deceptively large, modern, spacious facility that looked from the old town square in Jindrichuv Hradec as though it fit in perfectly. In some sense, the hotel looked too corporate for being in a quaint, medieval town. The bathroom situation was a bit odd with a separate room for the toilet (and a bit tight for a tall person when that door was closed) and the sink / shower. Shower was a bit tight as well, plus had a big step to walk out. Breakfast was excellent, with a large breakfast room and many hot choices. We ended up eating at the hotel's pub which was quite good, particularly the burgers, and with reasonable prices.

Stayed here for two nights to visit the narrow gauge JHMD steam railway. The hotel is very central in the heart of the old town. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to order taxis, etc, despite having some limitations to their English. Rooms are large and well equipped although the decor is perhaps a little old fashioned. Plenty of hot water. The very small television was mounted on the wall where it was difficult to see from the settee or bed, but since there were no English stations, this was not really a problem. The hotel offers lots of public space of stylish modern design. Meals in the restaurant were good and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine, but not special. Value for money was excellent. Overall a good experience in a little visited part of the Czech Republic.

The front facade suggests a smallish penzion, but it conceals a large hotel complex that goes far back beyond the shop window. And the further in you go, the greater the misgivings if you thought you'd booked into a boutique-type hotel.

The room was very spacious (decent sized double bedroom, large lounge, big bathroom with a big tub) , clean, and decorated in a certain style that wasn't to my particular liking but fine all the same. But it did smell of too much carpet cleaner and we had to open the windows on arrival to try to clear the air - it didn't work and instead we had the traffic noise early morning as a reward. .

So far, so ok. What disappointed was the breakfast. I knew things were going wrong when I walked into a large room which had the atmosphere of a UK motorway cafe with lots of people queuing for a coffee at one machine that was pouring out some bitter black liquid that didn't taste much like coffee. The buffet was a selection of mostly empty plates of fruit, cakes and bread that had been taken by the coach party in residence with the crusts and leftovers remaining. It was only 0900 so I don't think I was too late for a Sunday breakfast that was supposedly available till 10am. Requests for the plates to be refreshed seemed to fall on deaf ears. The hot food looked like it had sat on the heat trays longer than my flight from London. Thankfully, a cafe round the corner offered real coffee and pastries.

So, the hotel room was fine, spacious, and clean if a bit impersonal and with dated furnishings and a smelly carpet. Breakfast was a real let down. I don't know what else is available in this town, but next time I'll look a little bit harder before returning.

My husband and I spent a weekend in Jindrichuv Hradec full of sightseeing. The hotel has a great location, directly in the town square surrounded with restaurants, small souvenirs shops and parking possibilities /paid car park right in front of the hotel/. The room was small, but clean /carpets and curtains/, the window orientation into the atrium of the hotel. The bathroom was also small, too tiny shower corner, average condition. However the food was great, the service and stuff very polite. It is a good hotel for longer weekends. We enjoyed staying there.

This hotel is very interesting. I believe that she was a Grand Dame in her day. The location is great for old town. The facade is interesting as are the insides. Our room was on the second floor looking into a court yard. It was one of the biggest rooms that I have seen in Europe. The smell of bleach greeted us at the door informing us that it was clean. I did need to open the window to let out the smell but indeed the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom ample and modern. The one drawback was that it needed a "cosmetic fluffing up". My phrase for removing the well worn carpets and bed linens. It did need a make over. We were surprised for such a large hotel there were hardly any guests and the restaurants were empty. We may have been there off of peak but still thought it fairly empty. Breakfast was good and ample.

I visited this hotel with my girlfriend and with our dog last week. We spend here 3 nights and it was fantastic experience. I have to say that we were already excited before arriving to hotel. Manager of hotel Michal Svihalek shows great and polite approach even before our arrival. He offer to us fair price, so we couldn’t say no to his offer. He also found for me place for fishing and advice where to buy all necessary documents. Approach of manager was really nice and it is really unusual in this country so we knew that this gone be something special. Hotel is located in center of Jindrichuv Hradec just 5-6 steps from Main Square.

Underground parking was spacy and safe for our car. Check in was really smooth. Receptionist shows his politeness and tells to us where to go and what to see. Almost all staff shows their professionalism. From hair stylist in back of the hotel up to cleaning lady. Breakfast was ok, coffee excellent. I have to complain a bit for guy who was refilling food on breakfast. I think that in 4* hotel it should be a bit smoother. There were moments where some foods was missing and refilling takes some time. He should also get some knowledge about couvert.

Food in restaurant was good, we had only one meal and it was tasty. Just this couvert issue was bit unpleasant. Room in hotel was nice, always clean and spacy, just enough for 3 of us. We have room into backyard so that was really comfortable. We haven’t any problems with room or with any accessories. Little discomfort was soft bed however it was nothing dramatic, sleeping quality was good.

Hotel has good location and for us it was starting point to cities like Telc, Trebon, Ceske Budejovice, Hluboka. This region is really wonderful and you should explore surrounding area. Forests are nice, everywhere are lakes and people are friendly and welcoming. Prague region is nice however if you want really rest and enjoy beauty of nature you should go here. All these towns are wonderful, spacy and clean.

Stay in this hotel was great experience. I didn’t want to complain however bring drawbacks to attention of manager just to make this hotel perfect. Small things are counting. We had few experience in different hotels where hotel, location, food and everything was fantastic and just one unprofessional staff member could ruin whole experience.

Overall this was great hotel. I can strongly recommend this hotel. From outside it looks small however inside it is really spacey. Definitely we will visit this hotel once again.

Orea has great hotels in Czech Republic and Concertino keeps their standard.
