I booked this trip as a surprise honeymoon for my husband as a wedding gift. We got married in the Caribbean stayed in a 5* hotel and honestly it was terrible the service, the staff, we were broken in to so many issues so I was glad of having the honeymoon to look forward to but worried after the last all inclusive went so wrong. Anyway we returned yesterday from staying at Bluesun Neptun for 5 days and we had a lovely time. The hotel is nestled in front of the huge mountains and sea, yes there are a few other hotels next to it which depending on where your located you can be slightly over looked but the views were still amazing from our room. We stayed in room 110 front facing sea and pool views with a large balcony. The room was immaculate, cleaned every day. There wasn’t a kettle in the room which would be my only complaint I quite like a morning brew on the balcony but you could get one from the restaurant so wasn’t the end of the world. The hotel grounds were very looked after. I’ve seen a few comments regarding the staff being rude or miserable we didn’t see this at all, they just work very hard but we were never waiting for anything drinks were served quickly. In the restaurant it’s buffet food all very similar ever day, I’m a veggie and managed to find enough to eat. Breakfast was good, hot food, cereals, pancakes, pastries, and fresh omelettes made with your choice of ingredients. There’s lunch between 12-2 snacks at 3.30 to 4.30 and evening buffet from 7pm. Lunch and evening buffet are very similar, salads, pizza, chips, pasta dishes, rice, meat and fish options, cheeses, desserts and ice creams all very good. Drinks were served on a self serve pump wine, beer and soft drinks inside the restaurant. The drinks at the pool bar that was part of the all inclusive was limited a few cocktail options, spirits, wine, beer and I think maybe gin as well. I would like to have seen more cocktail options but you still get your monies worth. In the lobby bar there is a separate menu that you can order from and pay for better quality drinks and cocktails ie pina colada (highly recommend) The views are spectacular there is seating area on top of the restaurant with deckchairs and table and chairs which is a real sun trap, plenty of seats around the pool but they do get taken quite quickly so we only used them once but if sitting around the pool is your thing I’m sure you will find a spot. The beach is directly outside the hotel, very lovely calm water there isn’t any free sun lounges you have to pay so we just took towels, it is a pebbled beach so if you want to swim bring swim shoes we forgot and it was painful also bring your goggles and snorkels to see the fish. We hired a car to get around the car park is pretty small and annoyingly people park in front of your parking spot our flight was through the night when we went to Leave at 2am someone had parked in front of our car, luckily my husband managed to get out with our damaging anything but be mindful of where you park. Things to do around, there is the sky walk 7 minutes away, it was closed when we were wanting to visit but you can actually see it from the hotel if you look closely at the top of the mountain, they do excursions from the hotel but we didn’t use as we could drive our self, we hired a boat and went parasailing there is a water sports team just to the side of the hotel on the beach front highly recommend. Over all we had a great stay and even though the drinks are limited you do get your monies worth it’s a budget holiday I spent just over £600 for 5 days 4 nights stay and we had a better time than the £5000 Caribbean holiday we have just had so it’s definitely worth it. Would love to return in the future. …
