Detailed Reviews
Stopped here for 4 nights on an All Inclusive tour. The hotel is so close to the pebbly beach it is beautifully placed. The area is slowly recovering from Covid, many bars and lovely restaurants reopening and worth visiting. This hotel is worth its 4* rating, lifts to all floors, a large outdoor pool and a couple of smaller ones for familly use. There is also an indoor pool. As the weather topped 25°,only used the outside pools and snorkelled in the cystal clear sea.
The rooms are spotless, well serviced and towels replenished when necessary as were the toiletries. If you can get a 3rd floor rooms overlooking the Adriatic with fantastic views.
Food is all buffet style which was well cooked, well presented with a great choice. Service was extremely efficient. Avoid the poor quality red wine the white is just about acceptable, but the beer and gin etc are palatable
A very clean friendly family friendly hotel extremely well placed.

We were initially booked to stay in the sister hotel Neptun but got changed by easyjet a couple of days before we arrived. I was a little concerned because of some reviews but should not have worried. We arrived after midnight and check in was quick despite me not having the correct information, my fault as I couldn't find email with correct booking reference and was quickly sorted next morning. A cold supper was provided as we had missed dinner but we didn't have it so can't comment on quality. Room was large and comfortable with a mountain view. Cleaner called every day though they should respect do not disturb signs ! They were also very chatty and load at 7am each morning, this would be my only complaint regarding noise in the hotel.
We were all inclusive and found all food to be of a very good standard, plenty of choice, well cooked and hot. Other than queues at the omelette station we never had to wait though we did avoid peak eating times. Waiting staff were usually quick to bring a drink at lunch and dinner.
All inclusive drinks are the usual standard of local spirits and wine, perfectly acceptable with name brands available at a charge. The beer is particularly good, probably the best AI beer I've had. Soft drinks and mixers are poor though, we found the cola to be undrinkable and lemonade not much better. Thankfully the fizzy orange was good. The pool bar opened at 12 each day and they provided music around the pool. Most staff were friendly and helpful and the measures of spirits were extremely large and often required a 2nd mixer !
I'd class the hotel as a very good 3 star with public areas kept very clean. Location is right on the pebble beach. Hotel pool was not heated and was freezing, we found the sea much warmer. We we there at the end of the season and Tucepi was very quiet with most businesses closed or closing. Makarska was around an hours walk away through the coastal forest or a few minutes by bus (15kuna) or taxi (100kuna). Again being near the end of the season most businesses were closed but we still had a beautiful meal and a few drinks including a lovely place that did a pint for 10 kuna. We also had a day trip to Split, 55 kuna each way per person from Makarska bus station, much cheaper than the organised hotel trip and the old town is a must do. We also did a boat trip to 2 of the local islands, a great day out despite once again having a lot of shops closed.
I wouldn't hesitate to book this holiday again, especially at the price we paid though I'd go a couple of weeks earlier in the season. All inclusive is well worth the extra cost imho.

I chose this hotel because of its location to Tucepi centre (about 20 min walk from the bus/coach stop for Makarska/Split) and there had been good reviews here.
My overall impression when I checked in was good. My room (446) was clean, and of an adequate size, and had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area.
Be aware that there are singing acts on that can be playing until 2300, so if you happen to be in a room overlooking poolside and you want an early night (I had some 0600 starts for my booked coach journeys to Split) it is difficult with the goings on outside. Therefore it might be better to ask for a hotel room facing the other way if you want a quieter evening.
The restaurant is a buffet style, open 1900-2100, my advice is get there for 1900 because not all of the food gets replenished during the evening. One night I recall some of the ice cream flavours ran out at the self-serve ice cream table. The hotel was extremely busy when I stayed so it might be better during quieter times. There were long ques for the food. You can sit outside or inside so nice to have the choice, I personally chose inside at a window which was a nice spot. Breakfast is served between 0700 and 1000. I got down early and found this OK.
I didn't particularly use the pool area as I mostly went off to some of the beautiful beaches around the area (be aware Nugal beach is a good 45 minute walk using the footpaths despite how close it appears to be, as you practically have to walk into Makarska before heading onto another footpath back in the opposite direction) but it did look busy most of the time, other than that I can't really comment on this.
If you are on a higher level floor, be aware there is a wait for the elevators as they can be busy a lot of the time, sometimes I just used the stairs.
The staff were good and friendly. Check in/out was easy.
There is a nice area behind the bar area inside for reading a book in the evening, I sat there with a drink some nights as it was quiet.
Overall I found for what I had paid to stay here the service I received was fair and I would therefore recommend staying here based on my advice given.

I booked this hotel only because of the swimming pool, because my son likes more swimming in the pool than in the sea. Well, that was a story of its own. No chance could you find a sunbed after the breakfast! I complained at the reception and said that I refuse to wake up before sunrise to reserve a sunbed, this is my holiday. The biggest mistake was that I booked this hotel for 2 weeks. After first day already I wanted to cancel the whole stay as we couldn't find any available sunbeds on any day of our stay. It was such a disappointment. The other huge factor for a terrible stay was the noise everywhere. Cleaning ladies in the morning, they started always at 7 a.m., banging doors, hoovering ... I complained about that as well, they said they will talk to them, yet nothing changed. No sleeping in the mornings and no sleeping in the evenings as guests would bang their doors constantly as sound isolation was really bad. There was no chance of going to bed around 22h, earliest you could think of sleeping was around midnight. For 2 weeks we were absolutely exhausted. And for such high prices, this was the worse holiday I have ever had. Complete waste of money.
Regarding food, we had half board, breakfast and dinner. Food was very plain, I am vegan myself, I had to ask from the kitchen if they could prepare extra food for me. They did but it was again really simple. Long queues everywhere.
If you want a relaxing holiday, do not book this hotel.

Our room was average, we paid extra for sea view. The hotel is in a beautiful location, right on the beach. There is not much in Tusepi, we are walkers and didnt mind 10 mile walk to and from Makarska, which was beautiful and had a lot more going on.
The staff were not obliging and very rude indeed.
We were full board, and because we were not all inclusive any drinks we bought were very small compared to the free measures - and very expensive.
The staff hovered over us thinking we were going to run away without paying.
We arrived after midnight, and obviously did not get breakfast or dinner, so we asked on the day of departure could we have lunch and were told no.. Yet all inclusive were still getting free at 5pm..Kind people got us a free drink but the staff said I couldnt drink it..
There was sign on elevator saying 2 people max - but this was ignored as was social distancing at the crazy queues for breakfast. Omelette cooked in 30 seconds was raw.
The hotel was quiet, not even music played. However the maids were making such noise at 7am

Didn’t quite know what to expect as the building looked dated on the photos I’d seen.
Fabulously clean hotel, staff we came into contact with were all friendly. I think we had the last of the quieter time there this year so far as our last day we could see there were many more people arriving. This is a fabulous location, the beaches are clean but it’s not sand, it’s pebbles so you will need something on your feet. Lovely clear water, not commercialised at all. We were bed and breakfast as we wanted to eat out, there are plenty of nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Boat trips to the islands are nearby for approx 300 kuna for the day. Overall this was a fabulous holiday, especially following the last two year of covid.

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a tour group.
Our room was small , the bed & pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was very small but the shower worked well. There was enough hanging space & shelf space for 3 days but it would have been a struggle for longer. No where to put your suitcases either.
The lobby & outside seating areas looked nice but were not that comfortable. The sun loungers we found were very close together.
We did not enjoy the pool experience, too many unsupervised children for to be comfortable or relaxing .There are only ladders to enter the pool , so it was impossible for me. There were steps to get into the Jacuzzi but then to have children diving in & swimming was not a pleasure.
The dining area really let this hotel down, it was like a huge canteen. Outside seating area was marginally better.
The food we found was bland , cold , not well presented and not an enjoyable experience at all.
Three mornings we arrived for breakfast as the restaurant opened at 07.00 . The food was cold even then .
I had pasta prepared by the Chef one evening, even this was only vaguely warm .
The drinks were also a let down , red wine from a pump that was freezing cold. White wine from a pump that needed ice in the glass to chill it.
Gin & Tonic was ok depending on who had poured it . Beer was drinkable.
The location was ok, a nice promenade stretched for miles , so was great for a walk . The sea was really clear , there were lots of trees & plants in this area , together with shops & restaurants.
This is probably an ideal hotel for families , not one we would return to though.

We travel to Croatia aproximatelly 40 years to various places and Tučepi is one from the best places, clean water and a lot of trees on the beach. We spent 10 nights at Bluesun Hotel Alga. Everything was nearly perfect, renovated modern clean rooms. Food was very good, Parking acceptable not far from hotel. There was only ONE BIG MINUS : ROOM AIRCONDITION was very weak when temperatures were 32-36. No chance to sleep in the night.
In spite of several claims to staff evidently they had no chance to improve it.
It does not comply with 4 * hotel. It is a pitty because the other was OK.

Starting from our booking and the restrictions due to COVID-19 a lady called Barbara has helped us out with all the paperwork needed for crossing the boarder. Secondly we have arrived quite early around 9 am the receptionist was extremly friendly and gave us our all inclusive bracelets so we can have a drink and eat untill our room was ready. I have been reading the reviews and do not agree that the drinks are “teribble” and of course that they will use thier local drinks as they do have to increase their domestic economy rather than others. Also the waiters at the pool bar and restaurant where extremely friendly and polite. The food is great too alot of choise and something for everybody there.
One night we have decided to drive to Makarska when we came back there was no free parking the receptionst let us leave our car in front of the hotel and the first thing in the morning they found us a parking spot.
Furthermore, we have booked an economy room without a balcony and got one which was a quite suprise and thanks Alga for that.
Altogether a great stay and holiday.
Ps. The only thing I would complain about are the deck chairs at the pool, as you do have to wake up at 6:00 am to find a spot, I think they should find a way how to stop people from “reserving” their spot at night.
Also they should somehow devide the pool for children and adults as all of us do want to use the pool and relax.

Went with my partner. No children. So liked the fact that there was not many facilities there for them so it does not attract and hope it never does those sorts of loud people with noisy screaming kids, that belong at a rough and ready resort in Spain, there was mainly the older generation who want a peaceful and relaxing stay, with no noise, the lifts were small but that's so you couldn't take up your wet inflatables in the lift, we had no balcony, the double room was not the biggest or bathroom, I been in but you don't go on holiday to stay in a hotel room all day. Food was excellent, fresh, every where was spotless, staff were superb, I know we didn't go in peak season but every thing in peak season is going to be under pressure and over crowded and stretched so what do people who go at that time of year expect. People who don't have children should not put up with hearing them screaming. And out of control and parents do nothing theses days to discipline them. And if the hotel does not offer what their kids want then they should enquire before they book. If the hotel is not kid friendly and that is what you want, don't moan that this hotel is not because it is not that sort of place.
The beach is on the door step, a pebble beach, to note. I knew that before booking.
Friendly place and people and safe. And not many little babies, few school age children.
Stayed at the resort, didn't do any trips, just relaxed by the pool and on the beach. Weather hot for the whole two weeks, so was very lucky which always helps, needed some sun, coming from England.
First holiday I had since COVID. So deserved it.
Went 25 sept for two weeks.
Loved it and most certainly be back. Peace and quiet.
